Composite Reinforcement Solutions CRS PTY LTD is a Western Australian owned and operated company. They design and develop proprietary innovative sustainable buildings and their focus has been on the development of green energy solutions, also known as renewable energy solutions. Their innovative technologies aim to produce electricity while minimising negative environmental impacts and reducing greenhouse gas emissions. The company’s 3D design, research and development of solar power, is an emerging technology that seeks to increase the solar panel efficiency and energy output by capturing sunlight from multiple angles. The idea behind the 3D solar panels is to enhance the absorption of sunlight throughout the day without using a specific tracking device. They are working in collaboration with The University of Western Australia and the University of New South Wales in the development of their innovative PV modules. Using composite materials in reinforcement of solar panels will also lead to improvement in panels’ longevity, be more cost-effective and reduce the volume of recycling of PV panels. CRS is a partner of the Sovereign Manufacturing Automation for Composite CRC.
