ÅRETS SVENSKA BILDERBOK picture book of the year

Bilderboken är en konstform som kan rikta sig till alla åldrar. Snöbollen – Årets svenska bilderbok är den enda utmärkelsen i Sverige som uppmärksammar bilderboken som konstnärligt medium. Vinnaren offentliggörs och priset delas ut under Littfest – Umeå Internationella Litteraturfestival, 12-15 mars 2014. Boken presenteras sedan i en utställning på Bildmuseet. Under utställningsperioden är det också bilderbokstema i vår bildverkstad för alla åldrar. Snöbollen delas i år ut till den bästa bilderboken i 2013 års utgivning. Bakom priset till årets svenska bilderbok står Krumelur – föreningen för unga ord i norr i samarbete med Umeå2014, Astrid Lindgrens Stiftelse Solkatten, Kulturföreningen Pilgatan, Länsbiblioteken i Västerbotten och Västernorrland, Littfest och Bildmuseet. /

The picture book is an art form that can appeal to all ages. Snöbollen (the Snowball) – The Swedish Picture Book of the Year – is the sole award in Sweden that highlights the picture book as an artistic medium. The winner is announced and the prize is awarded during Littfest – Umeå International Literature Festival, 12-15 March 2014. The book will then be presented in an exhibition at Bildmuseet. During this exhibition period, the theme of picture books will be the focus of activities in our workshop which is open to all ages. Snöbollen will be awarded to the best picture book published in 2013. The initiative for the Swedish Picture Book of the Year prize has been taken by Krumelur – the organisation for young words in the north – together with Umeå2014, the Astrid Lindgren Foundation Solkatten, Kulturföreningen Pilgatan, County Libraries of Västerbotten and Västernorrland, Littfest and Bildmuseet.
