Reflective performance You will undertake independent research, and present your research as part of a Reflection Event in term 3. What do I have to do to pass? The minimum pass mark for each unit or module of the course is 50%. You will be assessed according to the criteria set out below.
ASSESSMENT CRITERIA FOR PERFORMANCE, REHEARSAL PROCESS AND CLASSWORK 70% + The student should be able to demonstrate the following characteristics: • A joyous, intelligent and courageous performance • Confident and bold response to the demands of the text and character(s) being played • Full creative ownership of the character(s) • Inspired and imaginative range of choices • Highly advanced technical skill • Highly responsive sensitivity to fellow actors 60% - 69% The student will be awarded a mark in this band if he or she consistently demonstrates the following characteristics: • A committed performance with creative flair and a level of risk • A clear understanding of the demands of the text and the character(s) being played • Ownership of the character(s) • Engaging range of choices • Strong technical skill • Sensitivity to fellow actors. 50% - 59% The student will be awarded a mark in this band if he or she demonstrates the following characteristics, with varying degrees of consistency: • A committed performance with creative flair and a level of risk • A clear understanding of the demands of the text and the character(s) being played • Ownership of the character(s) • Engaging range of choices • Good technical skill • Sensitivity to fellow actors. Fail : 0 - 49% The student will be awarded a mark in this band if he or she demonstrates the following characteristics: 33
