Lake Keowee in the Upstate of South Carolina is the Lake Tahoe of the Southeast. Lake Keowee is beautiful because of the dedicated people that care about it including Friends of Lake Keowee Society (FOLKS) and Advocates for Quality Development (AQD). We report on the four categories of Lake Keowee properties: Waterfront homes, off water homes, also referred to as “interior” homes, waterfront homesites and off water homesites. Closed sales prices for homes and lots are interesting!
With over three hundred miles of shoreline and 26.1 miles long, you have selected or will choose the neighborhood that meets your lifestyle wants and needs. You will find full golf course memberships to neighborhoods with a clubhouse, pool, tennis-pickleball, boat slips, and trails to neighborhoods with no amenities at all. Some neighborhoods allow for short term rentals while others do not. The golf course communities are presented separately along with non-golf course that we aggregate as “OTHER” Lake Keowee properties. Waterfront home prices rose +9.39%; sales volume up +7.30%. 147 homes were closed.
Interior/off water homes prices decreased -5.06%; sales volume up +21.49%. 147 homes were closed.
Waterfront Lot/Homesites: Prices rose +7.11%; volume was unchanged. 74 homesites were closed.
Interior/Off water Lots/Homesites: Prices dropped -13.59%; volume/units dropped by -33.33%. 84 homesites closed.
