WELCOME TO PINT SIZED 10 12 07 07 04 14 14 06 08 2 16

WELCOME TO THE FIRST PINT SIZED OF THE YEAR!

We have had a very busy start to the year, from launching two new additions to our Premium Beer range – Hazy Day and Prior Life, to ground-breaking new policy launches and from exciting new technologies for our pubs, to our collaborative efforts in continuing to drive our Greene King beers in our pubs; we continue to build on some positive momentum from 2023.

However, the trading environment remains extremely challenging with the ale category continuing to lag behind beer, contributing to a gap vs budget. Unfortunately, our Own Brewed Volume continues to underperform vs expectations, despite growing share in a declining category. This naturally requires all of us to stay focused on delivering the plan; keeping control of costs and chasing down every opportunity to grow sales.

Whilst trading remains tough, it’s important we build for the long term. As the world of ESG (Environmental, Social and Governance) is rapidly evolving, it’s fantastic to see how some of our B&B activity is making a real contribution to our Greene King ESG strategy and how so many of you play a part in this – more on this on page 12 & 13.

Our Rant & Rave Pulse survey has now closed. Our purpose is to pour happiness into lives, and we can't achieve this without your feedback so thank you for participating. More news to come on this soon so we can progress with our action plans.

If the start of the year is anything to go by, this year may be tough, but I remain confident that the plans we have in place with our brilliant beers, brands, and people, we will deliver a strong result. Stay focused and keep the momentum.

Thanks, Matt

We caught up with Sarah Rogers who has recently started her role as our new Head of Logistics Operations.

Sarah, tell us a little about yourself…

I'm an enthusiastic and dedicated individual, deeply passionate about my pursuits! My mission is to ignite positive transformations and spread kindness. I love to meet and learn about new people and businesses and enjoy problem solving and finding the most effective ways to do things.

Outside of work, I love to explore the world, baking, and trekking the picturesque peaks of the UK alongside my beloved cocker spaniel, Pepper! And when I'm not scaling mountains, you'll likely find me nestled in a cosy pub, savouring a drink, and engrossed in a captivating book.

Can you tell us about your career story?

I ventured into the industry while pursuing my English Literature & Language degree, uncertain about my career path. Recognising the value of gaining practical experience, akin to some of my business studies peers, I opted for a year in industry. Taking a hiatus from my degree, I participated in Gist's Industrial Placement program, where I developed a passion and love for logistics. Subsequently, I re-joined Gist through their Graduate program, undertaking diverse roles with clients such as Starbucks, Eat, and M&S in warehouse, transport, and project management functions. After six years, I decided it was time for a new challenge.

Remaining in the FMCG sector, I explored the world of European 3PL Distribution at Pret a Manger, leading to

an exciting opportunity as the Head of Distribution at Burger King UK. I was there for an amazing three and half years, however desired further progression and growth. At the end of 2023, I transitioned into my present role as the Head of Logistics Operations at Greene King.

What is your role on a day-to-day basis?

In essence, my responsibility is to guarantee the safe, efficient, and timely operation of our GK distribution sites and primary network. Our main focus is consistently meeting the demands of approximately 6000 customer orders each week to the best of our capacity. One of the notable aspects of the drinks distribution network within Brewing & Brands is its comprehensive coverage across all of GK, as we need to engage and collaborate with colleagues throughout the entire business.

What are the 2024 priorities in the world of B&B Logistics Operations?

We have significant and thrilling initiatives planned for our business area this year! These include the transition and launch of our new Bury Distribution Centre to Suffolk Park, commencing the rollout of our new Dray fleet across the network, and executing various continuous improvement strategies. It’s an exciting time to join GK Distribution, I eagerly anticipate collaborating with all my teams and depots to successfully accomplish these projects!

What is your favourite Greene King beer?

Well, it has to be Gluten Free, so from those that I’ve tried so far, the Estrella Galicia takes the top spot as my number one choice!

EXPANDING LEGENDS:

WE UNVEIL OUR TWO NEW CRAFT IPAS!

We have officially launched our two new craft beers, Hazy Day, and Prior Life, into the market as we grow our craft portfolio further.

HAZY DAY

Having launched in Tesco last month, Hazy Day, a fruity IPA (4.3% ABV), and Prior Life, an All Day IPA (3.4% ABV), continue to play homage to our brewing heritage and the historical myths and legends of Bury St Edmunds.

Hazy Day is a smooth, fruity hazy IPA, with orange, citrus and tropical notes. The inspiration for the name dates back to the 16th Century in Bury St Edmunds, for those who were convicted of minor crimes were sentenced to a day in the pillories. With clouded judgement & a hazy sense of morality, locals would come to heckle, goad, and even throw things at the miscreants. Hazy Day is an unlawfully delicious beer packed with tropical flavours.

PRIOR LIFE

The eternally light Prior Life is an easy drinking All Day IPA with mellow tropical notes and a citrus aroma. This beer is a tribute to the original Bury St Edmunds master brewers, the Benedictine monks, whose ghosts are said to still walk the Abbey today. Prior Life is as divinely fruity as the low strength beer the monks would drink litres of daily, as it was safer than water at the time.

The new craft beers are sold in packs of 4 x 330ml cans in Tesco stores nationwide, with Prior Life being exclusive to the supermarket chain. Hazy Day has also launched into 45 Greene Kings pubs and Prior Life will start to be seen in venues by summer, with the new beers expected to grow in both markets throughout 2024. Both beers are also available to purchase from our Online Shop.

ONE YEAR OF VALUE FOR VENUES!

Greene King and Belhaven breweries are celebrating a year since the launch of Value for Venues, a unique package that includes a catalogue of products, streamlined deliveries, cellar services, business advice and financial support for independent venues. As the industry continues to change and adapt to ever-changing costs and consumer habits, it can make running an independent venue extremely tough and isolating. Value For Venues is there to give operators that helping hand and to add value to their business.

The refreshed branding and 2024 plans were launched to the England/Wales free trade sales team at their annual conference at the end of February. Along with regionalised logos, a full refresh of assets has taken place ensuring the team can continue to improve their offering in an everchanging marketplace. With plenty of exciting developments the Value for Venues team will continue to support our Greene King & Belhaven teams to get new business, keep current customers and grow sales profits.

A NEW HEN JOINS THE FAMILY!

Old Speckled Hen are launching a new beer into market this April, offering a new distinct style for the portfolio.

Old Session Hen is a 3.4% easy-drinking ale, brewed with Harlequin hops for hints of tropical fruit flavours, and Cascade hops for the perfect balance of bitterness. Rounded off with a crisp clean finish, this light ale will be launching in 500ml bottles exclusively in Morrisons, on promotion for £1, just in time for spring.

Old Session Hen has been crafted to complement the new socialising experiences where consumers are looking for a beer with a lower ABV, but still offers the same refreshing taste of a golden ale.

David Spencer, Head of Marketing for the Old Speckled Hen family, said: “We are excited to launch Old Session Hen into the market for spring. Old Speckled Hen is a household name when it comes to enjoying a refreshing ale at home and we continue to consider how our consumers socialise at home and how this then impacts their drinking preferences. Old Session Hen is sure to be a hit for any gathering or social event at home.”

Keep an eye out for Old Session Hen in a Morrisons near you this April. The 500ml bottles will also be available to buy from our online shop here https://shop.greeneking.co.uk

SUPPORTING OUR OWN BRANDS…

Last year we joined forces with all formats of Greene King Managed pubs to work on driving volume of both keg and our own brewed ale and saw volumes grow significantly! Check out some of what we did to drive our Own Brewed Volume (OBV); hear directly from a GM and BDM on the positive impact this has had in our pubs and what our ambition is for 2024…

What did we do in 2023…

→ Focused on our ranging recommendations across all managed formats in the second half of the year.

→ Launched our two new Legendary Beers in the first half of the year.

→ We were the first major cask brewer to invest in a market leading cask pins launch to support our pubs in delivering cask-fresh beer to customers every time, whilst at the same time minimising wastage.

→ We invested heavily to bring our brewery and brands to life across our managed estate which included running brand immersion sessions, training days and beer tasting sessions.

SPECIAL FEATURE 8

We had a chat with John Malone, Head of Internal Sales & Engagement who spoke to us about the importance of supporting pubs with their ranging on the bar...

John, can you tell us how the Cask Ale guidance supports our pubs?

This is a recommendation which enables pubs to demonstrate a passion for Greene King and Belhaven beers, drive market outperformance, and ultimately deliver more volume for our breweries.

Why did GK Pubs need our support with the ranging guidance? There was a need for more guidance and to consider our different formats and the different needs. We hadn't changed things for a while and the ranging guidance was the same across every Greene King format. We wanted to engage teams better with pubs getting clearer direction on what to have on their bars whilst understanding they have a good degree of flexibility.

What were the key opportunities with working with our pubs on their ranging?

The main opportunity was to ensure the optimum number of Greene King and Belhaven beers on our bars, ensuring the right mix of our beers and other brands that guests want to see. This meant moving from two sticks to three in some pubs, while in others we remained unchanged. We were also able to re communicate to all sites so pubs were clear on what the right range looks like for them.

Did all the work on our ranging recommendations lead to success in 2023? Yes it did. The work was a great opportunity to engage teams and to delight our customers and we know it was a key driver in seeing our OBV and cask volume growing significantly. The second half of the year saw our OBV cask up by 1,453 barrels vs the same period in 2022 – that’s over 418,000 more pints! This year we are aiming for even more engagement and we are looking forward to collaborating with our pub teams to achieve this

Our unfied focus on range, brand advocacy, presentation and cellar practice delivered significant improvement in OBV and total cask sales, cask yield and beer quality worth over £1m in profit for the group in 2023.

But there is still work to do…

Setting the scene…

11%

More than 10% of Greene King employees didn’t know Greene King brewed beer

39% of Greene King employees had never tried any Greene King or Belhaven Beer

26% of Greene King team members don’t know enough about our beers to recommend them

*R&R Survey 2023

What is our 2024 ambition…

We are looking to grow our OBV in Greene King Managed sites by 650,000 more pints and aim to deliver this through:

We caught up with Lee Prile, General Manager at The Gardeners in Chelmsford, who won a ‘Beer Pub of the Year’ award at the recent Greene King Pubs Conference…

Lee had exceptional sales growth in 2023, and is continuing to now build sales year on year. Lee is proud to look after his ales to ensure his guests get a consistent pint every time. Staying close to brand news, Lee swapped Old Speckled Hen for Abbot on stick two last year when it received gold at The Champion Beer of Britain awards which his regulars loved! Cask at The Gardeners is up 72% Year on Year and OBV is up 69%!

Congratulations on the award Lee, can you give us an insight into how you and your team drive our own beers at The Gardeners?

For me it’s all about quality and being able to offer the perfect pint every time. To do this, I had to ensure my cellar was cleaned to a high standard and all necessary equipment was available for my team. I also recognised that I had to increase the sales of cask to keep the beer fresh – I knew we could offer a good pint so I pushed the Cask Ale collector card and the CAMRA 10% discount heavily both in house and via social media. I also used the Cask, Craft and Cider festival to push our own beers which worked well.

How has the support on cask ranging contributed towards your sales growth?

It was great to have more direction but knowing the flexibility is there as every pub is different and is catering to different needs. Once my cask sales had already increased it was great to have the opportunity to offer a guest ale on my third stick so I could offer variety for the more concerning real ale drinker. For example, when Abbot Ale won gold at the Champion Beer Awards I put this on – it was a great talking point and was received very well. I also had the opportuntiy to experiment with seasonals which was great and offered something different alongside those that my drinkers are familiar with.

Why do you think it’s important to advocate for our own Greene King beers?

Greene King is a brewery and a pub company in the UK that still brews its own beer. I think this needs shouting from the roof tops and it’s important to let our customers know they are drinking good quality beer that is brewed by Greene King!

Hear from Rhys Worthington, Business Development Manager for Urban Pubs in Edinburgh, on why he is so passionate about driving our own beers and how he encourages his GM’s to do the same…

How has the support on cask ranging helped to drive sales with some of our urban pubs?

In Scotland we have a slightly different range available to us Deuchars IPA, Belhaven 80 as well as all GK beers. It’s great to have the opportunity to be flexible with our ranging. I think it’s also crucial to train the team passionately about product and ensure product, glassware and knowledge are consistently brilliant. What other activity have you seen that has really supported OBV sales in our pubs?

I work with John Malone to track OBV by site and regularly review the range to see if we have any opportunity. The range of beers now is fantastic from modern beers, cask and Belhaven the guest is spoilt for choice.

I am taking all my GM’s down to Belhaven for a recognition event soon and a brewery tour. I also work closely with Fiona (Belhaven) and we have developed an ale trail around the city buying our products to win a T Shirt. We also partner with café barriers, POS and are working on a plan for the euros right now so we show up in pub with Belhaven. Its not every day Scotland get to a major championship!!

Why do you think it’s so important to advocate for our own Greene King/Belhaven beers?

We are all one company. The work that has been done on range over the last few years is incredible and no one can say we don’t have something for them. In urban we really drove the new premium beers with lots of incentives, training and tasting. There is a different mindset now around our beers from a few years ago.

I always tell new GM’s the importance of the brand as well as your pub. In Scotland the name on the door is 305 years old, we are the custodians of it while we work for the company, let’s look after it.

AN EXCITING CHANGE FOR OUR PUBS

Introducing our new Intelligent Dispense System

We caught up with Aaron Potton, Head of QUADs and Sam Buckingham, Project Manager for GK Pubs, who gave us an insight into the new Project ID system that has been rolled out to 20 of our managed sites.

Aaron, can you tell us what the new Project ID System is?

In partnership with DFx and working in collaboration with the retail team, we have created this solution fit for our pubs that gives us information based on data to drive operational and financial advantages. This new Intelligent Dispense system uses innovative technology to trace chill the beer lines, promote hygiene and simplifies keg changes for the pub teams. Simply put, we are looking to make our pub teams lives easier so they can really focus on the guest experience.

What are the benefits of having this in pubs?

This system simplifies day-to-day operational practices along with the introduction of the professional hygiene service that supports reducing the workload of our pub teams; and allows the line cleaning frequency to extend from 21 days to 42 days. This initiative is set to deliver:

→ Reduced product waste through the extended line cleaning cycles.

→ Yield increases through best operational practices.

→ Reduced cost to serve and energy costs.

→ Consistent consumer experience.

→ Improved speed and temperature of product.

What has the roll out looked like?

This has been rolled out to 20 pubs across the Nottinghamshire area. The system has been well received by the pub teams so far and there have been several first-hand positive comments from guests on the improved temperature and quality of our products.

What are the next steps?

We will be looking to identify the data from the phase one pubs to generate automated reporting that will support our pub teams going forward. Our professional hygiene visits are already underway – we have been offering coaching and support as part of these and it’s really moving the dial on quality. For me, it’s about transitioning to a world where we can be more proactive, identifying any problems before it causes operational issues for our pubs and impacts the guest experience.

10
OUR BRILLIANT BEERS

We also chatted to Curtis Keeling, GM for The Talbot Inn in Mansfield, to hear about the new Project ID system from a pub perspective and the positive impact this is already having…

Curtis, The Talbot Inn is the first pub to have had the Project ID system installed what has that been like?

I was apprehensive at first, as I think anyone would be when something is about to change. Equally, I was excited to get brand new dispense equipment and be the first in GK to go on this pilot. After the first few meetings, where we discussed the system and logistically how it would be installed my mind was put at ease. GK have worked with Dfx to build the system from the ground up and it’s bespoke to GK’s needs. I have enjoyed the collaboration with internal and external stakeholders right across the project.

How is your team benefiting from the new system? ID promotes a journey that controls quality right from the barrel to the customer’s glass. It enables my team to pour at faster speeds and change barrels efficiently with little to no waste. We benefit from better speed of service at peak trade sessions, which supports a better customer experience. Now the hygienist team take care of line cleaning and maintenance, it has allowed me more time to focus on our cask beer. We are starting to see the benefits from this, growing our OBV cask sales week on week. The system has allowed us to exceed the GK target of 101% yield, whilst we have a few products performing at 105% yield individually.

How has the new system impacted the customer experience?

Our customers are more than happy with the product they are receiving. With the current economic situation, our customers are seeking value for money. The system has amplified our beers, particularly around temperature and taste. This has been confirmed through regular feedback; our frequent customers noticed the benefits almost instantly. I am excited to see this system put to the test throughout the summer especially with the Euros on the horizon. We have a real big opportunity to shout about our great quality beer and what better way to enjoy them than during the tournament... C’mon England!

We caught up with Gemma Woolnough-Smith, Senior Brand Manager and Alan Fulcher, Technical Brewer to chat all things seasonals calendar…

How long have we been doing the calendar?

As a company we have been doing it for a while, but we have worked on it together for the last couple of years to try and reposition the calendar.

Why do we have a seasonals calendar?

We do the seasonal ale calendar because it’s a great way to show our brewing credentials, our brilliant brewers and it also helps us to secure another stick on the bar alongside our great core cask brands. We know that cask is a declining category and the seasonals give us an opportunity to experiment with new beers to attract new drinkers so they can discover what cask tastes like.

Why was 2023 such a success for the calendar?

Alan - I think there are a few reasons behind this. First, I think it’s testament to the quality of our brilliant beers both core and ones we have developed as new products. I think it’s also down to the fact that what the consumer wants has changed so much, today’s consumer is after variety and often looks to experiment with different beers and our calendar supports this. Gemma – It was a real team effort. The business has really backed us and put significant investment in redesigning and repositioning the calendar, so we have been able to really communicate to the customer that cask is the freshest way to enjoy beer in a pub.

Our own pubs have also really got behind the calendar, so we had some great distribution and our free trade sales team have also been brilliant in getting our beers in to other venues. The brewers and production planning also made sure that great, high-quality beers got out to our customers on time. I think the collaborative effort was a main contributing factor to our 2023 volume being up 42% on 2022 which was a fantastic way to finish the year!

What are the expectations for the 2024 calendar?

We are looking to grow volume this year and to get out to more stockists so we can get our great tasting beers in front of more customers who can champion cask. We’ve got some fantastic new beers and we have experimented with new recipes so this should help us achieve an even bigger increase in volume!

What’s your favourite ale on the calendar?

Alan – my favourite is King Mango which is a fantastic IPA with a full front mango flavour. This was brewed as a trial, but the feedback was 100% positive which was brilliant!

Gemma – My favourite would have to be Watch Room which is a golden, tropical beer inspired by the history of Greene King and named after the fact we used to have our own brewery fire brigade. We wanted to bring this story to life with Watch Room which will be available in September this year.

ENVIRONMENT SOCIAL GOVERNANCE

ENVIRONMENT

As part of our Environment and Social strategy driver, we’re building a plan of initiatives across the business to reduce our environmental impact. Below are some examples of how these are coming to life within Brewing & Brands…

Check out the new electric van at Hen Hall. This conversion to an electric vehicle supports our plans to reduce carbon emissions as we strive towards being net zero.

A word from Iain Murison, Head of Safety, Health & Environment...

‘Our emphasis behind environmental performance is gaining momentum as we constantly look at ways to improve what we are doing. We continue to be accredited to environmental performance standards such as ISO: 14001; we support government initiatives for energy saving, continue to monitor our emissions, support biodiversity projects, actively participate at the zero-carbon forum, have established working groups looking at sustainable farming and the supply chain, all of which combine to make a lasting and real effect. This innovative work continues for B&B as the environment becomes ever more integrated into business decisions.’

Greene King ESG Purpose: Be the pride of British Hospitality, known for having a sustainable and high profile social and environmental purpose at our heart, for being an inclusive employer, respected by stakeholders for putting customers, communities, colleagues and climate at the heart of what we do.

In a bid to reduce the carbon footprint of deliveries to Bury Brewery, we partnered with Boortmalt who now deliver our white malts in an electric vehicle. This means 95%-98% of our deliveries to the brewery are emissions free.

The new kegging line at Belhaven has reduced emissions and transport costs

Our brewing process is 20% more efficient compared to previous years with the team constantly looking at ways to reduce how much water and energy we use throughout the process.

Belhaven Brewery have also upgraded their brewery boilers, which has an expected fuel saving of 10% and have also installed a new air compressor, which offers savings of up to 15% on energy from what was previously used.

GOOD TO KNOW...

SOCIAL

Our ESG purpose has a powerful social message at its heart – by bringing people together who care about others and the charities that support them, providing a warm welcome to connect and build a sense of belonging in communities…

In 2023 we raised an exceptional £89,000 for Macmillan – a 50% increase in what we raised in 2022 and almost £20,000 over target!

Our B&B fundraising target for 2024 is £100,000 so please do keep sharing ideas with your Macmillan representative and keep donating and supporting those people who continue to put their personal time into helping this great cause. Please note - if you would like your fundraising efforts to be linked to the B&B Macmillan fundraising total you must create your JustGiving page via this link - https://www.justgiving.com/campaign/ brewingbrnads2024

Hear from some of our B&B team members who are set to take on the London Marathon all in the name of Macmillan and please sponsor them if you can...

Matt Steward, Head of People

‘I’ve never entered a race before so I thought the London Marathon would be a good place to start! Anyone that knows me will know this is a huge challenge for me to complete. Any donation to my sponsorship is gratefully received and will hopefully give me the much-needed encouragement through my training and the big day itself.’

Neil Sumner, Warehouse Operative, Eastwood Distribution Centre

‘I’ve been a keen runner for many years and have always had the ambition to run the London Marathon. It’s a privilege to make this a reality by supporting a great charity like Macmillan and what better way to do this than through Greene King. Training is going well and I’m really looking forward to the big day.’

Adam Rist, Dray Operative, Bury Distribution Centre

I wanted to raise funds for MacMillan Greene King as it’s such a worthwhile cause. Sadly, I lost my dad in February, so this is a big reason for me wanting to take part in the marathon. One of the last things I talked to Dad about was discussing were he would stand when he came to see me in April, Tower Bridge.

I'm very humbled by all the support with fund raising over the last few weeks, it's such a lift. I get a lot from my running and it's nice to give something back.

We also caught up with the team from Belhaven who are taking on the Etape Loch Ness – a cycle sportive taking place around the iconic Lock Ness all to raise vital funds for Macmillan. Kevin Grierson, Beth Kilpatrick, Wendy Marshall, Kevan Makin and George Tunnock are taking on the 106km cycle at the end of April. Scan the QR code if you would like to sponsor the team!

Introducing Closer Communities

Eastwood Depot partnered up with Holywell Primary School in Kimberley to help collect used confectionery tubs from Christmas for the Greene King TUB2PUB scheme.

Driver Peter Till and Dray Operative

Stephen Tomlinson collected over 100 tubs collected by the pupils and once loaded on to the vehicle the tubs were delivered to the local GK managed house Horse & Groom all in the name of Macmillan.

At Greene King we’re proud to be at the heart of our communities and want to leave a lasting impact now and for generations to come.

As part of our Environment and Social strategic commitments, we’re continuing to build on the great work we do to support our people and our customers by launching Closer Communities, an initiative designed to help everyone in our business bring people together. Look out for more info on this coming soon and news on how you can get involved!

WE CELEBRATED INTERNATIONAL WOMEN’S DAY!

To celebrate International Women’s Day on 8th March, Greene Sky hosted a series of events across Abbot House, Belhaven brewery and our depots, as well as celebrations at Sunrise House, to highlight this year’s theme of #inspireinclusion. At Abbot House, we held a ‘mini-festival’ with a focus on career confidence, with representatives from various functions offering advice on internal mobility, apprenticeships and more.

At the depots, our Greene Sky B&B reps hosted events to celebrate the brilliant women in the teams and promote the workshops for anyone looking to progress their careers.

We also welcomed a group of female students from West Suffolk College who joined us for an ‘immersion afternoon’, which included a brewery tour, an insight into marketing and some sensory testing.

Thank you to everyone who came to an event, joined the live panel or signed up to one of our career workshops!

WE CARE

We know that at Greene King, our people are at the heart of our business. Check out the below to get a snapshot of some of our new policies and how these are set to support you as our team members. All universal policies can be found on Kingdom. The B&B Drugs and Alcohol policy can be found on The Vault.

Fertility and IVF Treatment policy

We have a brand-new policy to support team members who are on a fertility journey. We recognise that everyone’s experience of fertility treatment is unique and we’re here to support you if you or your partner are going through this. If you’re going through your fertility journey and need to speak to someone, our Employee Assistance Programme is available 24/7. The freephone number is 0800 316 9337 or text ‘hi’ to 07418360046.

Carers Leave and Emergency Dependants Leave policy

We recognise that some of our team members need to take time away from work to care for a dependant who needs long-term care. Our new Carers Leave and Emergency Dependants Leave policy allows team members with caring responsibilities to take one week additional unpaid leave (pro-rata) each year. We’re also pleased to share that Ability, our disability focused employee led inclusion group will be shining a light on carers this year so watch this space.

B&B Drugs and Alcohol policy

We want you to feel that you and other team members can carry out your job in a safe environment. All team members should be aware of this policy and the rules set out within it. You can read the B&B Drugs and Alcohol policy in full on the Vault. If you would like more information, please reach out to the HR Business Partner for your business area.

BRILLIANT BEERS

SPOTLIGHT: ESTRELLA GALICIA

Under our newly extended agreement, we have exclusive UK distribution rights for Estrella Galicia products through to 2027.

Our partnership with Estrella Galicia first began back in 2018 with the extension meaning we will continue to supply the UK trade with the products.

Estrella Galicia is the flagship beer brand of Hijos de Rivera, an independent, fourth-generation family-owned brewery founded in 1906 in the Spanish city of A Coruna.

Estrella Galicia is now present in over 50 countries including the UK in which it has had a solid positioning since its arrival in 2012.

Estrella Galicia offers a wide-ranging product portfolio and distributes a variety of products to the UK market including Estrella Galicia Cerveza Lager, 0.0% Gluten-free, 1906 Reserva Especial and 1906 Black Coupage.

In 2021, Hijos de Rivera achieved carbon neutrality in its main facilities through measures including the generation of biogas, the use of renewable energies, the installation of photovoltaic plants and the incorporation of hybrid vehicles.
