Editorial Hemos llegado al onceavo mes del año, la recta final de este 2020 y la temporada de celebraciones más importante de cada 12 meses. En noviembre conmemoramos fechas como el aniversario de la Revolución Mexicana, un tema que actualmente es muy importante, sobre todo a la hora de hablar de política mundial, cambios en la sociedad y las nuevas generaciones. El mundo diario bombardea con revoluciones nuestra vida, tenemos lados oscuros, luchas y batallas, pero Dios con su verdad nos lleva a una luz, provocando la paz en medio de cualquier batalla. Así mismo, durante este mes, en Estados Unidos se celebra el Día de Acción de Gracias, una tradición que hemos adoptado en la frontera mexicana y de la cual hablaremos en esta edición de tu Revista Visionarias. En esta ocasión, en nuestro contenido también encontrarás un desafío, pues en medio de la revolución que puedas estar enfrentando en la vida, te invitamos a que hagas un acto de gracias dirigido a la gente de tu alrededor, pues, aunque solemos ser amables con extraños, quizá somos distraídos con las personas que tenemos cerca. Si en nuestra vida tenemos el hábito y el valor de dar gracias, haremos un mejor mundo para nosotros y para los que nos rodean. Haz un esfuerzo por ser intencional al dar las gracias, por la comida que se te hace, por la sonrisa que te da o simplemente dale gracias a Dios por respirar. Créeme que este sentimiento de agradecimiento te hace sentir mejor como persona, seamos generosos, tengamos detalles más allá de lo material y recuerda que es más importante que practiquemos el valor y demos gracias. Finalmente, te deseamos que puedas celebrar con tus seres queridos una cena de Acción de Gracias y que el espíritu de Dios llene tu hogar de su amor.
We have reached the eleventh month of the year, the final stretch of this 2020 and the most important celebration season of every 12 months. In November we commemorate dates such as the Mexican Revolution anniversary, a topic that is currently very important, especially when it comes to talking about world politics, changes in society and the new generations. The daily world bombards our lives with revolutions, we have dark sides, struggles and battles, but God with his truth leads us to a light, causing peace in the middle of any battle. Likewise, during this month, the United States celebrates Thanksgiving, a tradition that we have adopted on the Mexican border and which we will talk about in this edition of your Visionarias Magazine. On this occasion, in our content you will also find a challenge, because in the middle of the revolution that you may be facing in life, we invite you to do an act of thanks directed to the people around you, because, although we tend to be kind to strangers, maybe we are distracted by people around us. If in our life we have the habit and the courage to give thanks, we will make a better world for ourselves and for those around us. Make an effort to be intentional in thanking, for the food that is made for you, for the smile that it gives you, or simply thanking God for breathing. Believe me that this feeling of gratitude makes you feel better as a person, let’s be generous, let’s have details beyond the material and remember that it is more important that we practice courage and give thanks. n el año 1520 el reformador Martín Lutero debatía sus posturas y demandas teológicas ante las autoridades alemanas. Como monje agustiniano su obligación era presentarse ante las autoridades eclesiásticas en Roma; pero apeló a su ciudadanía alemana y se quedó en su país a ser juzgado. Esto escandalizó a Europa, pero significativamente hace 500 años a nadie le escandalizó que un teólogo propusiera reformas para corregir errores del individuo, la sociedad y la Iglesia frente a Dios. Definitivamente eran otros tiempos, en los que la autoridad eclesiástica regía la vida ordinaria y extraordinaria de la sociedad. Para bien o para mal eso cambió. Ahora Europa y el mundo entero no se escandalizan por las voces que demandan corregir errores que dañan al individuo y a la sociedad; sin embargo, sí se escandalizan cuando las voces proponen que la corrección sea conforme a las Sagradas Escrituras. Se escandalizan porque la sociedad de nuestra generación es secular; fue educada para aislar las causas y las consecuencias espirituales y además de aislarlas, también es diestra en dudarlas, ignorarlas, rechazarlas y negarlas. De esa manera la sociedad está celebrando casi dos siglos de regirse bajo el método científico, el cual señala que la evidencia espiritual es subjetiva; por lo tanto, no existe, ni es verdadera, ni es real. Más aún, no tiene voz, participación ni autoridad para proponer la manera en que la sociedad debe ser corregida. La Iglesia por su parte no ha ignorado las circunstancias y situaciones que constantemente atentan al acallar su mensaje de corrección y salvación. Sabiéndose responsable de comunicar el Evangelio de Jesucristo en medio de una sociedad que la rechaza, se ha mantenido alerta y en búsqueda de plataformas que le permitan cumplir su responsabilidad y llamado. Por ejemplo, al igual que sucedió
en los primeros siglos de su existencia, la Iglesia sabiamente sigue preparado hombres y mujeres para dar testimonio de Cristo mientras realizan sus oficios y profesiones cotidianas. Algunos ocupan plataformas de gran audiencia, otros saben agruparse para que la voz tenga eco, y otros prevalecen individualmente como baluarte inamovible de la verdad. Sin embargo, es necesario enfatizar que en una sociedad secular es relativamente fácil y sencillo preparar a hombres y mujeres con oficios y profesiones para que sean testimonio de la verdad. Es fácil porque la sociedad misma llama, apoya, costea y produce esos trabajadores. La sociedad se organiza para preparar a la siguiente generación de trabajadores que ofrecerán beneficios en servicios y productos. En esta organización se generaliza la métrica y la productividad esperada. Todos sabemos lo que un maestro, un zapatero, un comerciante, un conductor, un herrero, un policía ofrece, podemos medir su desempeño y rendimiento, sabemos qué tan útil y necesario es su participación y contribución en la sociedad. Por eso reiteramos que para la Iglesia es fácil preparar a esos hombres y mujeres con oficios y profesiones, basta agregar a su educación la preparación de cómo ser testimonio de Cristo en la sociedad. En cambio, lo que es difícil y desafiante para la Iglesia es precisamente preparar a los que cuyo oficio y profesión no se mide conforme a lo propuesto por la sociedad, es decir, es difícil y desafiante la preparación de hombres y mujeres cuyo oficio y profesión será precisamente aquel que la sociedad secular no acepta porque lo juzga como inútil e innecesario, inclusive lo rechaza como falso e indigno. Por ello la dificultad y el desafío de preparación no radica en la complejidad de preparar ministros, sino en que la sociedad ha tenido tanta influencia en la Iglesia, que ha llegado a cegarla

en su responsabilidad de preparar a sus evangelistas, maestros, pastores, consejeros, adoradores y siervos. La consecuencia de esto es que la Iglesia tiene pocos ministros preparados, son pocos y seguirán siendo pocos en proporción a la secularización de la sociedad. Entre más secular sean las comunidades en las que nos desenvolvemos, menos importancia le darán a la preparación de los hombres y mujeres que contribuyen a la sociedad con la corrección espiritual que necesita conforme a las Sagradas Escrituras. La única manera en que los ministros dejarán de ser pocos y mal preparados será cuando atendamos el llamado de Jesús, cuando roguemos al Padre para que envíe ministros preparados para levantar la cosecha que ya está lista (Lucas 10:2). Por lo tanto, roguemos al Padre plenamente convencidos de lo que le rogamos. No rogamos por voluntarios sin preparación, responsabilidad y compromiso, no rogamos así porque sería incongruente a toda la obra de salvación de Jesús. Mejor, obedezcamos este mandamiento a cabalidad; roguemos para que entendamos la dignidad del llamado de Dios a ser sus ministros. Roguemos a Dios para que envíe ministros preparados con conocimiento y habilidades que les harán servir a una sociedad secular que no espera ese servicio; pero que es el primero que necesita. Roguemos para que Dios envíe ministros virtuosos y llenos del fruto espiritual para corregir los errores espirituales del individuo, la sociedad y la Iglesia conforme a las Sagradas Escrituras. Roguemos.

BICLICAL, THEOLOGICAL AND MINISTERIAL EDUCATION In 1520 the reformer Martin Luther debated his theological positions and demands before the German authorities. As an Augustinian monk his obligation was to appear before the ecclesiastical authorities in Rome; but he appealed to his German citizenship and remained in his country to be tried. This scandalized Europe, but 500 years ago no one was scandalized that a theologian proposed reforms to correct errors of the individual, society and the Church before God. They were definitely other times, in which the ecclesiastical authority ruled the ordinary and extraordinary life of society. For better or for worse that changed. Now Europe and the entire world are not scandalized by the voices that demand to correct mistakes that harm the individual and society; however, they are scandalized when voices propose that correction be in accordance with the Holy Scriptures. They are scandalized because the society of our generation is secular; it was raised to isolate spiritual causes and consequences, and in addition to isolating them, it’s also skilled at doubting, ignoring, rejecting, and denying them. In this way, society is celebrating almost two centuries of being governed by the scientific method, which indicates that spiritual evidence is subjective; therefore, it does not exist, nor is it true, nor is it real. Furthermore, it has no voice, participation, or authority to propose how society should be corrected. The Church for its part has not ignored the circumstances and situations that constantly threaten to silence its message of correction and salvation. Knowing himself responsible for communicating the Gospel of Jesus Christ in the midst of a society that rejects it, it has remained alert and in search of platforms that allow him to fulfill his responsibility and call. For example, as in the first centuries of its existence, the Church wisely continues to prepare men and women to bear witness to Christ as they carry out their daily offices and professions. Some use platforms with a large audience, others know how to group themselves so that the voice has an echo, and others individually prevail as an immovable bulwark of truth. However, it’s necessary to emphasize that in a secular society it’s relatively easy and straightforward to prepare men and women with professions to be witnesses to the truth. It’s easy because society itself calls, supports, pays for and produces these workers. The society is organized to prepare the next generation of workers who will offer benefits in services and products. In this organization the expected productivity and metrics are generalized. We all know what a teacher, a shoemaker, a merchant, a driver, a policeman offers, we can measure their performance, we know how useful and necessary their participation and contribution in society is. That is why we reiterate that for the Church it’s easy to prepare these men and women with professions, it’s enough to add to their education the preparation of how to be a wit-

ness to Christ in society. On the other hand, what is difficult and challenging for the Church is precisely to prepare those whose profession is not measured according to what is proposed by society, that is, it’s difficult and challenging to prepare men and women whose and profession It will be precisely the one that secular society does not accept because it judges it as useless and unnecessary, even rejects it as false and unworthy. For this reason, the difficulty and challenge of preparation doesn’t lie in the complexity of preparing ministers, but in the fact that society has had such an influence on the Church, that it has come to blind her in her responsibility to prepare her evangelists, teachers, pastors, counselors, worshipers and servants. The consequence of this is that the Church has few trained ministers, they are few and they will remain few in proportion to the secularization of society. The more secular the communities in which we operate, the less importance they will give to the preparation of the men and women who contribute to society with the spiritual correction it needs according to the Holy Scriptures. The only way that ministers will cease to be few and unprepared will be when we heed the call of Jesus, when we pray to the Father to send ministers ready to reap the harvest that is already ready (Luke 10: 2). Therefore, let’s pray to the Father fully convinced of what we ask of him. We do not pray for volunteers without preparation, responsibility and commitment, we don’t pray that way because it would be incongruous to all of Jesus’ work of salvation. Better, let’s obey this commandment fully; Let’s pray that we understand the dignity of God’s call to be his ministers. We pray to God to send ministers prepared with knowledge and skills that will make them serve a secular society that does not expect that service; but that is the first one you need. Let’s pray that God will send virtuous ministers full of his spiritual fruit to correct the spiritual errors of the individual, the society and the Church according to the Holy Scriptures. uando iniciamos este año, nunca nos imaginamos que íbamos a tener que pasar por todo lo que hemos vivido durante los últimos ocho meses. La mayoría hemos sido tocados de alguna manera por la pandemia y las noticias nos bombardean con cifras de muertos, además de crisis económicas y psicológicas a consecuencia de la situación por la que atravesamos. Al reflexionar sobre todo esto, veo qué tan importante ha sido mantenernos con la mejor actitud durante estas circunstancias, pues es ahí donde radica la diferencia. Podemos ser golpeados por la misma situación, pero nuestra reacción y también el resultado dependerá de lo que hay en nuestros corazones. Pablo es enfático en decirle a la iglesia en Tesalónica que se mantenga agradecida en “toda circunstancia”, ya que ésta es la voluntad de Dios. Hay una gran diferencia entre decir “gracias” y ser “agradecidos” ya que una palabra podría tener algo de superficialidad cuando no viene con la actitud correcta, pero el agradecimiento, es la motivación de un corazón que se enfoca en las bendiciones que sin merecer recibimos de nuestro Dios. Hacer esto nos permite ver más allá de lo material, descubriendo el valor dentro de lo sencillo y cotidiano. Quizá a tu alrededor el panorama no sea muy alentador, pero recordemos que Dios nos llama a darle gracias por todo. Por eso en esta fecha tan especial de “Acción de Gracias” te comparto cinco maneras con las que el agradecimiento dará un giro a la circunstancia que puedas

estar viviendo: 1. Ser agradecido se llevará tu ansiedad, porque hará que te enfoques en las bendiciones que tienes hoy y te da confianza en el mañana. 2. Te hará ver bendiciones donde antes no podías ver. 3. Ser agradecido te lleva a ver lo mejor en los demás, sin buscar culpables. 4. Te permite ver las oportunidades en lugar del problema.

5. Alinea tu corazón a la voluntad de Dios. No tenemos certeza de lo que pueda venir en los siguientes meses, pero lo que sí sabemos es que, si decidimos vivir con gratitud y confianza en Dios, las circunstancias serán transformadas y aun las más difíciles terminarán ayudando para nuestro bien.
GIVE YOUR CIRCUMSTANCE A TWIST When we started this year, we never imagined that we were going to have to go through everything that we have experienced during the last eight months. Most of us have been touched in some way by the pandemic and the news bombards us with the death toll, as well as economic and psychological crises as a result of the situation we are going through. As reflected on all of this, I see how important it has been to stay with the best attitude during these circumstances, for that is where the difference lies. We can be hit by the same situation, but our reaction and also the result will depend on what is in our hearts. Paul is emphatic in telling the church in Thessalonica to be thankful in “all circumstances”, as this is the will of God. There is a big difference between saying “thank you” and being “grateful” since a word could have some superficiality when it does not come with the right attitude, but gratitude is the motivation of a heart that focuses on the blessings that are underserved from our God. Doing this allows us to see beyond the material, discovering the value within the simple and everyday. The outlook around you may not be very encouraging, but let’s remember that God calls us to thank Him for everything. That is why on this special date of “Thanksgiving” I share five ways with which gratitude will turn around the circumstance that you may be living: 1. Being grateful will take away your anxiety because it will make you focus on the blessings you have today and give you confidence in tomorrow. 2. It will make you see blessings where you couldn’t see before. 3. Being grateful leads you to see the best in others, without looking to blame. 4. It allows you to see the opportunities instead of the problem. 5. Align your heart to God’s will. We are not sure what may come in the next few months, but what we do know is that, if we decide to live with gratitude and trust in God, circumstances will be transformed and even the most difficult ones will end up helping for our good.

l matrimonio es una institución divina conformada por humanos, por lo que no es fácil mantenerla a flote, ya que los cónyuges tienden a actuar naturalmente, olvidando que su relación es un diseño de Dios. En esta etapa debemos de cultivar las virtudes espirituales para fortalecer la relación personal con el creador, así como la relación conyugal y la familiar. Debemos siempre dirigirnos con gratitud, una virtud en la vida de los hijos de Dios. “Den gracias en todo…” 1 Tesalonicenses 5. 18. Primeramente, debemos dar gracias a Dios, quien hace llegar todo tipo de beneficio. Después no debemos olvidar a los que conviven cada día con nosotros por estar allí, por amar, por ser apoyo, por su

Marriage is a divine institution made up of humans, so it is not easy to keep it afloat, since spouses tend to act naturally, forgetting that their relationship is God’s design. A nuestro cónyuge tenemos que agradecer por fortalecer la unión. Ser agradecidos en el matrimonio es vital para edificarse uno al otro, puede ser simplemente con palabras acompañadas de acciones que lo demuestren, como decir gracias de forma frecuente, lo cual es grato al corazón. También podemos reconocer el esfuerzo y dedicación, lo cual es maravilloso, esto alaba a Dios y honra el matrimonio.

We have to thank our spouse for strengthening the union. Being grateful in marriage is vital to edify each other, it can be simply with words accompanied by actions that demonstrate it, such as saying thank you frequently, which is pleasing to the heart. We can also recognize effort and dedication, which is wonderful, this praises God and honors the marriage.

A FEELING OF GRATITUDE
UN SENTIR DE GRATITUD
M
uchos estábamos cómodos con nuestra forma de vivir y nuestra rutina, pero el 2020 llegó a cambiar nuestra vida por completo, la puso de cabeza y nos sacó de nuestra zona de confort. Sin duda este año llegó a probar nuestra fe, vino a despertarnos ante la presencia de Dios, a reconocer su bondad y misericordia. No podemos dejar de agradecer porque a pesar de caminar por un valle de muerte y oscuridad, nuestro gozo está en darle gracias. No tengamos miedo de pedir lo que necesitamos, no nos preocupemos por nada y en cambio oremos por todo y démosle gracias por lo que ha hecho y hará. Seamos siempre alegres por la esperanza que tenemos en él, seamos pacientes en las dificultades y sigamos orando. Somos llamados a vivir en paz, nuestros corazones son vasijas que deben ser gobernadas por la paz dada del Espíritu Santo. Seamos siempre agradecidos. Corremos el riesgo de perder nuestra adoración

Aferrémonos a sus promesas, que son nuestra mejor espada, pero no dejemos de agradecerle y adorarle de todo corazón. Con un corazón agradecido, se puede ver cómo Dios pelea nuestras batallas, su bondad y su gracia siempre estarán junto a nosotros. Que nuestras armas para ganar cualquier batalla sean el agradecimiento con amor y adoración. Seamos siempre agradecidos, no nos cansemos de decirle gracias, porque él no se cansa de ser bueno. Agradezcamos con todo el corazón y recordemos que estamos rodeados por su amor, fiel amor que perdura para siempre.
Many of us were comfortable with our way of life and our routine, but 2020 came to change our life completely, turned it upside down and took us out of our comfort zone. Without a doubt, this year came to test our faith, it came to awaken us to the presence of God, to recognize his goodness and mercy. We cannot stop thanking because despite walking through a valley of death and darkness, our joy is in thanking him. Let’s not be afraid to ask for what we need, let’s not worry about anything and instead pray for everything and give Him thanks for what He has done and will do. Let’s always be glad for the hope we have in him, let’s be patient in difficulties and let us continue to pray. n la actualidad vivimos en un mundo plagado de diferentes problemáticas y por ello se necesitan jóvenes que puedan tomar el papel de líderes influyentes, pues en esta etapa de la vida surgen inquietudes y preocupaciones que se reflejan en la forma de ver el mundo y de querer mejorarlo. Los jóvenes debemos estar rodeados de proyectos que busquen mejorar el bienestar futuro, en los que puedan lograr ser un factor de cambio y compartan una mejor visión. Los jóvenes somos el futuro de la nación, seremos los próximos gobernantes, empresarios, maestros, pero, sobre todo, seremos quienes continuemos con el legado que se ha formado durante varias generaciones. “Nunca te arrepentirás de invertir tus recursos y tu dinero por servir a otros”, es la frase que Ana Ceniceros leyó en alguna parte y se convirtió en una consigna que hasta la fecha repite. La modista originaria de Gómez Palacio, Durango, tiene su residencia en Jordania, país al que viajó para convertirse en maestra de costura de mujeres refugiadas, a quienes enseña corte y confección de prendas de vestir, bolsas, estuches para computadoras, forros de libros, cojines y otros artículos. Es precisamente de su labor de lo que nos habla esta mexicana de 31 años, quien arribó a Medio Oriente gracias a su profesión. A pregunta expresa sobre cómo llegó al grupo en el que participa, nos cuenta que anteriormente vivió en Panamá, “estuve casi tres años y en ese tiempo yo estaba a cargo de un taller de costura, trabajaba para una empresa náutica”.

Luego vino la oportunidad de suplir a la maestra que en ese entonces estaba en una comunidad en Jordania, “prácticamente vine en obediencia porque no sabía nada al respecto del trabajo con refugiados. En el proceso me enamoré del lugar, la gente y del trabajo”, asegura y nos dice que ella es parte del proyecto de microemprendimiento que está abierto a toda la comunidad. “Recibimos a muchos refugiados. Especialmente en este proyecto, todas las alumnas o beneficiarias son mujeres refugiadas de Sudán, de la región de Darfur”. Pero además del trabajo de costura que realiza con ellas, la ONG con la que participa tiene diversos programas de educación en idiomas (inglés y español), así como talleres de informática, administración personal, cuidado de las emociones, crianza de los hijos y ejercicios físicos. Esta organización también atiende emergencias donando alimentos, provisiones para el invierno y auxilio para situaciones varias, por lo que, para ayudarse a seguir reciben aportaciones de otras instituciones, socios y colaboradores eventuales. “Todos los cooperantes internacionales que sirven aquí son voluntarios, es decir, no reciben ningún pago de la ONG y eso compone un valioso aporte a la sociedad”. Agrega que quien desee conocer más sobre la ONG puede hacerlo a través de www.dcpm.org y realizar donaciones por PayPal, aclarando a qué proyecto está destinada la donación. También, para recibir información específica sobre los proyectos y formas

El centro de capacitación, que es el trabajo principal de la ONG, funciona en la capital del país, Amán, y es ahí donde se ayuda a más de 100 familias, aunque Ana sólo coordina a 30 mujeres.
‘Amen al prójimo como a sí mismos’
Para esta visionaria, su labor en Jordania le ha hecho ser más consciente de que no todas las personas tienen las mismas oportunidades, “me ha hecho tener empatía con los más vulnerables”, por eso aconseja a quien desee seguir sus pasos “que amen al prójimo como a sí mismos”. “Una vez leí por ahí una frase que decía ‘nunca te arrepentirás de invertir tus recursos y tu dinero por servir a otros’ y creo que eso es verdad, muchas veces sólo pensamos en los recursos económicos, pero también podemos pensar en nuestro tiempo, podemos pensar en las habilidades que nosotros tenemos. Cuando las invertimos para servir a otros eso bendice a las personas, pero también nos bendice a nosotros, así que nunca se cansen de invertir sus recursos, su tiempo y puedo añadir su amor en servir a otros”, dice quien, aunque creció en un hogar cristiano, fue hasta los 15 años cuando decidió servir a Dios. “Yo solamente le dije que usara mi vida como a él le placiera y que me llevara a donde él quisiera. En ese momento realmente yo no imaginé hasta donde el Señor podría llevarme, pero realmente estoy muy contenta y convencida que esta es la voluntad de Dios para mi vida y realmente sirvo con todo el corazón y con mucha alegría porque sé que es el lugar en el que el Señor me ha plantado”, afirma nuestra entrevistada.
Changing the world one stitch at a time “You will never regret investing your resources and your money to serve others”, is the phrase that Ana Ceniceros read somewhere and it became a mantra that she constantly repeats. The dressmaker originally from Gómez Palacio, Durango, has her residence in Jordan, a country to which she traveled to become a sewing teacher for refugee women, teaching them how to cut and make clothing, bags, computer cases, book covers, cushions and other items. It’s precisely about her work that this 31-year-old Mexican who arrived in the Middle East thanks to her profession speaks to us. Asked about how she came to the group in which she participates, she tells us that she previously lived in Panama, “I was almost three years and at that time I was in charge of a sewing workshop, I worked for a nautical company”.
The opportunity to help
Then came the opportunity to fill in for the teacher who was then in a community in Jordan, “I practically came in obedience because I didn’t know anything about working with refugees. In the process, I fell in love with the place, the people and the job”, she assures and tells us that she’s part of the microenterprise project that is open to the entire community. “We host a lot of refugees. Especially in this project, all the students or beneficiaries are refugee women from Sudan, from the Darfur region”. But in addition to the sewing work she does with them, the NGO she participates with has various language education programs (English and Spanish), as well as computer workshops, personal management, care for emotions, parenting and physical exercises. This organization also attends emergencies by donating food, winter supplies and assistance for various situations, so to continue, they receive contributions from other institutions, partners and eventual collaborators. “All the international aid workers who serve here are volunteers, that is, they do not receive any payment from the NGO and that makes a valuable contribution to society”. She adds that anyone who wants to know more about the NGO can do so through www.dcpm.org and make donations through PayPal, clarifying which project the donation is intended for. The training center, which is the main work of the NGO, operates in the country’s capital, Amman, and it’s there that more than 100 families are helped, although Ana only coordinates 30 women.
‘Love your neighbor as yourself’
For this visionary, her work in Jordan has made her more aware that not all people have the same opportunities, “it has made me have empathy with the most vulnerable”, that is why she advises those who want to follow in her footsteps “to love the neighbor as themselves”. “I once read a phrase that said ‘you will never regret investing your resources and your money to serve others’ and I think that is true, many times we only think about economic resources, but we can also think about our time, we can think about the abilities that we have. When we invest them to serve others that blesses people, but it also blesses us, so never get tired of investing your resources, your time and I can add your love in serving others”, says who, although grew up in a Christian home, it was until the age of 15 when she decided to serve God. “I just told Him to use my life as he pleased and to take me wherever he wanted. At that moment I really did not imagine how far the Lord could take me, but I’m really very happy and convinced that this is God’s will for my life and I really serve with all my heart and with great joy because I know that it is the place where that the Lord has planted me”, affirms our interviewee.

i eres una mujer con mascotas o en tu casa hay alguna, debes quedarte a leer las siguientes recomendaciones que la médico veterinario zootecnista, Karina Castro, nos da para esta temporada invernal. De inicio hay que saber que, al tener un compañero de vida como estos, debemos ser muy responsables ya que necesitarán de muchos cuidados y son para toda la vida.
“Todo lo que causa gran estrés baja las defensas del animalito”, comentó Castro, quien señala que cambiar de domicilio, comida, rutina, o algo similar hará que nuestros amigos peludos tengan impactos emocionales y eso los deja vulnerables a tener alguna enfermedad de temporada.
Alimentación
“En frío todos comemos más por naturaleza, pero ellos deben de comer según lo indique su veterinario, todos los animales son di-

ferentes y la alimentación también”, bajo esta premisa aclara que no toda la comida es buena para los animales, la proteína que necesitan es el 20 por ciento, pero la comida debe especificar de dónde sale esa proteína, ya que hay marcas que la sacan de plumas de animales, huesos u otras partes que no hacen bien a la mascota. “En el caso de los gatos ellos siempre deben de comer lo mismo, medido y vigilado ya que tienden a engordar”.
Vacunas
“Perros y gatos tienen su cuadro de vacunación y desparasitación, y deben de tenerlo completo para prevenir enfermedades graves”, enfatizó la médico, quien agregó que cada animal, dependiendo la raza y tamaño, deberá seguir las indicaciones del veterinario. Además aclaró que los parásitos y no ponerse vacunas complica cualquier enfermedad en la mascota; la periodicidad de estas inyecciones deberá ser siempre indicada por el experto.
El clima
En el caso de las temperaturas, señaló que es mejor que los gatos estén dentro de los hogares, “ellos son más vulnerables que los perros, tienden más a perecer a la intemperie”. En el caso de los perros señala que hay una tabla en la que se explica cuando el animal ya siente el frío, corre peligro o puede fallecer. “Hay gente que piensa que no tienen frío por ser peludos, pero sí lo sienten, aunque varía según el tamaño y la raza”. Por último, exhortó a los dueños a tratar de buena manera a sus mascotas e invitó que las personas que no cuenten con la economía necesaria para llevar a sus mascotas a un veterinario, los lleven al Centro de Rescate y Adopción de Mascotas del Municipio Independiente (Rammi), donde los atienden a bajo costo o de manera gratuita, aunque por la contingencia sólo se están recibiendo animales rescatados, denunciados al número de emergencia 911. El Rammi está ubicado en el interior de El Chamizal, cuenta con veterinarios especializados en brindar la mejor atención a los peludos de la familia y brinda servicio a toda la población fronteriza.

n este 2020 conmemoramos el 110 aniversario de la Revolución Mexicana, suceso considerado como un punto de inflexión en la historia de nuestro país. Por definición una revolución es “un cambio social organizado, masivo, intenso, repentino y generalmente no exento de conflictos violentos para la alteración de un sistema político, gubernamental o económico”. Al saber esto podemos reflexionar en el hecho de que detrás de dicho movimiento había una búsqueda de valores e ideales como la libertad, la igualdad y la justicia, los mismos que como creyentes debemos encontrar a través de establecer el reino de Dios aquí en la tierra. Los cristianos somos llamados a vivir en continua revolución buscando hacer un cambio en la estructura política, económica y social de nuestro país, por medio de establecer los principios y valores del reino de Dios. Porque la libertad sólo la encontraremos en Cristo por medio de su verdad. (2 Corintios 3:17, Juan 8:31-32) La igualdad solamente la conseguiremos viéndonos unos a otros a través de los ojos de Dios, de la manera que él nos ve y nos ha creado. (Génesis 1:26-27, Romanos 2:11, Gálatas 3:28) Y habrá justicia cuando pongamos en práctica lo que él nos ha ordenado. (Proverbios 31:9, Mateo 22:39) Dios quiera revolucionar tu pensamiento y tu vida, él quiere que seamos revolucionarios en medio de un mundo en el que los sistemas de valores y de gobierno no van de acuerdo con su palabra.

Christians are called to live in continuous revolution seeking to make a change in the
political, economic and social structure of our country, by establishing the principles and values of the God’s kingdom. Because we will only find freedom in Christ through his truth. (2 Corinthians 3:17, John 8: 31-32) We will only achieve equality by seeing one another through the God’s eyes, in the way that he sees us and has created us. (Genesis 1: 26-27, Romans 2:11, Galatians 3:28) And there will be justice when we put into practice what he has commanded us. na de mis escrituras favoritas es Juan 17:3 que dice “Esta es la vida eterna: que te conozcan a ti, el único Dios verdadero, y a Jesucristo a quien has enviado”. Tal vez muchos de nosotros leemos la Biblia para saber qué es lo que debo hacer o cómo debo comportarme, sin embargo, no debemos olvidar que el enfoque principal en nuestra relación con Dios, debe ser siempre la conducta, y recordar que si bien, el hacer cosas buenas es importante, no necesariamente es lo fundamental. Tras lo anterior, debo decir que mi vida fue revolucionada cuando entendí que cualquier relación de verdadero amor y amistad no es el hacer, sino el de conocer y que las acciones fluyen de la intimidad que existe, y no viceversa. Pablo oraba en Efesios 1:17, “Para que el Dios de nuestro Señor Jesucristo, el Padre de gloria, le dé espíritu de sabiduría y de revelación en el conocimiento de él”.

One of my favorite scriptures is John 17: 3 which says “And this is life eternal, that they might know thee the only true God, and Jesus Christ, whom thou hast sent”. Perhaps many of us read the Bible to know what should do or how should behave, however, we must not forget that the main focus in our relationship with God must always be conduct, and remember that although doing good things is important, it is not necessarily fundamental. After the above, I must say that my life was revolutionized when I understood that any relationship of true love and friendship is not doing, but knowing and that actions flow from the intimacy that exists, and not vice versa. Paul prayed in Ephesians 1:17, “That the God of our Lord Jesus Christ, the Father of glory, may give to you a spirit of wisdom and of revelation in the knowledge of Him”. “We can do many things, serve and do many good works (without knowing him) but only when we know God, our life is revolutionized, changed, transformed. The true purpose of the coming, death and resurrection of Jesus was so that we would know him, to have intimate communion with him and then to walk in the works that he prepared for us to walk in them”. Ephesians 2:10. I invite you to meet him so that you experience a wonderful revolution in your life and thus your perspective on life will change.

Dichas festividades traen a las familias muchos momentos de alegría, sin embargo, también son tiempos de estrés financiero, pues las festividades implican gastos que en ocasiones no podemos solventar. En este artículo me gustaría darte algunos principios que te ayudarán a no gastar más de lo que deberías gastar, pero también para que puedas hacer una buena compra.
¿Qué es una buena compra?
Una buena compra es no pagar más de lo necesario por un producto o servicio. Una buena compra debe ir acompañada de una buena administración del dinero, es decir, si no tenemos para hacer un gasto no deberíamos hacerlo, aun cuando la temporada, la tradición o nuestros deseos personales lo pidan. En Lucas 14:28-30 encontramos una recomendación vital antes de hacer cualquier compra o gasto: “Supongamos que alguno de ustedes quiere construir una torre. ¿Acaso no se sienta primero a calcular el costo, para ver si tiene suficiente dinero para terminarla? Si echa los cimientos y no puede terminarla, todos los que la vean comenzarán a burlarse de él, y dirán: ‘Este hombre ya no pudo terminar lo que comenzó a construir’.”
