SEAMOS REVOLUCIONARIOS

En este 2020 conmemoramos el 110 aniversario de la Revolución Mexicana, suceso considerado como un punto de inflexión en la historia de nuestro país. Por definición una revolución es “un cambio social organizado, masivo, intenso, repentino y generalmente no exento de conflictos violentos para la alteración de un sistema político, gubernamental o económico”. Al saber esto podemos reflexionar en el hecho de que detrás de dicho movimiento había una búsqueda de valores e ideales como la libertad, la igualdad y la justicia, los mismos que como creyentes debemos encontrar a través de establecer el reino de Dios aquí en la tierra. Los cristianos somos llamados a vivir en continua revolución buscando hacer un cambio en la estructura política, económica y social de nuestro país, por medio de establecer los principios y valores del reino de Dios. Porque la libertad sólo la encontraremos en Cristo por medio de su verdad. (2 Corintios 3:17, Juan 8:31-32) La igualdad solamente la conseguiremos viéndonos unos a otros a través de los ojos de Dios, de la manera que él nos ve y nos ha creado. (Génesis 1:26-27, Romanos 2:11, Gálatas 3:28) Y habrá justicia cuando pongamos en práctica lo que él nos ha ordenado. (Proverbios 31:9, Mateo 22:39) Dios quiera revolucionar tu pensamiento y tu vida, él quiere que seamos revolucionarios en medio de un mundo en el que los sistemas de valores y de gobierno no van de acuerdo con su palabra.

In this 2020 we commemorate the 110th anniversary of the Mexican Revolution, an event considered a turning point in the history of our country. By definition, a revolution is “an organized, massive, intense, sudden social change and generally not free of violent conflicts for the alteration of a political, governmental or economic system”. Knowing this we can reflect on the fact that behind said movement there was a search for values and ideals such as freedom, equality and justice, the same that as believers we must find through establishing the God’s kingdom here on earth. Christians are called to live in continuous revolution seeking to make a change in the political, economic and social structure of our country, by establishing the principles and values of the God’s kingdom. Because we will only find freedom in Christ through his truth. (2 Corinthians 3:17, John 8: 31-32) We will only achieve equality by seeing one another through the God’s eyes, in the way that he sees us and has created us. (Genesis 1: 26-27, Romans 2:11, Galatians 3:28) And there will be justice when we put into practice what he has commanded us. (Proverbs 31: 9, Matthew 22:39) God wants to revolutionize your thinking and your life, he wants us to be revolutionaries in the midst of a world in which the systems of values and government do not go according to his word.

CUANDO JESÚS REVOLUCIONA TU VIDA Una de mis escrituras favoritas es Juan 17:3 que dice “Esta es la vida eterna: que te conozcan a ti, el único Dios verdadero, y a Jesucristo a quien has enviado”. WHEN JESUS REVOLUTIONIZES YOUR LIFE

One of my favorite scriptures is John 17: 3 which says “And this is life eternal, that they might know thee the only true God, and Jesus Christ, whom thou hast sent”.

Perhaps many of us read the Bible to know what should do or how should behave, however, we must not forget that the main focus in our relationship with God must always be conduct, and remember that although doing good things is important, it is not necessarily fundamental.

After the above, I must say that my life was revolutionized when I understood that any relationship of true love and friendship is not doing, but knowing and that actions flow from the intimacy that exists, and not vice versa.

Paul prayed in Ephesians 1:17, “That the God of our Lord Jesus Christ, the Father of glory, may give to you a spirit of wisdom and of revelation in the knowledge of Him”.

“We can do many things, serve and do many good works (without knowing him) but only when we know God, our life is revolutionized, changed, transformed. The true purpose of the coming, death and resurrection of Jesus was so that we would know him, to have intimate communion with him and then to walk in the works that he prepared for us to walk in them”. Ephesians 2:10.

I invite you to meet him so that you experience a wonderful revolution in your life and thus your perspective on life will change.
