She is a part of many organizations such as the NANBPWC, Inc, where she served as the Treasurer for 3 years; Greater New Haven NAACP, Assistant Secretary, Greater New Haven WIN NAACP; co-chair, NCBW-New Haven Metropolitan Chapter; Director of Communications, CMWP Collaboration Connection, member, and a dedicated member of Life Changing Outreach Ministries, were she serves as the Director of Finance for the ministry.
“As a Lupus survivor, I am patient about raising awareness surrounding Lupus through my speaking. I love socializing and am active in community work, church activities, volunteer work, and club memberships. I aim to reach all women to let them know that they are not alone in this journey. YOU HAVE ME TO LEAN ON! You can survive and live a healthy and functional life with the ability to tell your story to encourage others. I want all women to be uplifted and know I did not do this alone. God was on my side. Even when I had doubts or did not believe I was worthy enough to live, God loved me just that much to give me a second chance at life.”
Reese believes that as you become more present in your own life, you will begin to enlighten others by your example. Over time her relationship with God has evolved, and she knows he provides all her needs. Reese’s favorite scripture is If God is for us, who can be against us?” (Rom. 8:31) She is honored and thankful to be here today.”
