After retiring from the St of CT she became a volunteer at the Ronald McDonald House of CT (RMH). This is the “home away from home” where parents reside while their children undergo essential and specialized medical treatment at the hospitals around CT, free of charge. Over the past 5 years she has assisted the RMH with the Trees of Hope and Golf Tournament Fundraisers. She sits on the Board of Directors with the Community Hope Center, Inc where they are dedicated to improving health outcomes in the New Haven Community through education and resources. She is an active member of her church, Christian Tabernacle Baptist Church (CTBC) where she is secretary of the Ushers’ Ministry and is committed to the Faith in Action Outreach Ministry (FIA)who work with families in the community.
Carol is the proud mother of 1 daughter-Shante’, son-in-law-Tai, and 3 precious grandchildren-Tayona, Eric and Chayse. Her grandchildren are her “Pride and Joy” and they help keep her feeling young!! During her spare time, she enjoys and loves vacationing with family and friends. She enjoys life.
Carol believes that the truth will set you free and encourages all to remember: “Don’t worry about other peoples’ opinions of you. God never told you to impress people, only to love them.
