In 2016, God allowed Pastor Washington to give birth to Gateway to Heaven Ministries, located in Bridgeport, CT by Pastor Curtis Baldwin. On April 29th, 2017, Pastor Valerie Washington was publicly consecrated and reaffirmed to the Episcopal Office and Dignity of Apostle. December 15th, 2017, God blessed Apostle Washington to purchase her ministries current place of worship at 882-884 Grand Avenue New Haven, CT 06511. In 2020, God allowed her to give birth to Upon This Rock Ministries #2 by Pastor Christine Perry. In 2020, during the pandemic The Lord allowed Apostle Washington to start her own academy, she is now the Founder and CEO of Upon This Rock Academy. In 2022 the Lord blessed the Apostle with the vision and allowed her to birth out their very own Warming Center that holds up to 35 unhoused individuals on their way to reformation.

The Lord has blessed Apostle Washington through this ministry with willing workers, loving laity, and an awesome staff. Upon This Rock now have a: clothing ministry, food pantry, barrels being sent to Jamaica and Haiti, monetary donations to Africa, bible study for all ages, leadership classes, marriage classes, Titus 2 Women’s ministry, Women’s support group, WOW (Woman of Worth), Daughters of Destiny, Mighty Men of Valor ministry, singles ministry, youth ministry, homework tutorial ministry, minister’s training classes, and Impacting Our Youth summer camp. Apostle Washington would like to thank God for all endeavors and success.
