On behalf of the members of the New Haven Club Inc. of the National Association of Negro Business and Professional Women’s Club, Inc., we are honored and pleased to extend our warmest welcome to our friends and family. I would like to welcome all of our dignitaries, including our Northeast District Governor Evelyn Streater-Frizzle, Vice President Fallon Thomas, and our National President Sherelle T. Carper.

This year, we celebrate our 79th Annual Founder’s Day Luncheon Award Celebration. Our theme this year is “Leaning into Your Power to Break Down Barriers.” This celebration serves as a platform to honor our founders, who were wise and inspirational humanitarians and civic workers. The honorees selected exemplify our vision. Congratulations to the 2023 Founders’ Day Honorees, who are outstanding examples of where bold and innovative leaders can take us. Thank you for your passion and commitment to serving our community. We are honoring a deserving person with the Trailblazer award, which exemplifies her outstanding achievement in impacting our youth, families, and communities. Congratulations to our scholarship recipient for her academic excellence. We wish you continued success, and please remember that we, as a community, are counting on you to go forth and grow in wisdom, skill set, and commitment to serving alongside many of those honored here today and others whose purpose is to create a more fair and just world for all. Finally, this year, we are celebrating two sisters from the New Haven Club for their contribution and dedication to the New Haven Club Inc.

I would be remiss if I did not thank our dedicated Founders’ Day Co-Chairs, Shantell James and Shaunquetta Johnson, and their wonderful committee for all their hard work.
