RON ISON Ron Ison, Team Leader of The Ison Group NJ in Holmdel, New Jersey, built a real estate enterprise on top of his professionally honed expertise managing financial services. By combining his business acumen with a passion for individualized lifestyles and a target demographic in central New Jersey, Ron has established a platform for consistent and organic growth. “I feel privileged that I get to go into people’s homes and hear their stories. The backgrounds they have, the memories they cherish raising their children or starting their lives, even the different types of renovations and adjustments people make to their homes. I love the way a home reflects the people who live there, and being able to contribute to those stories is huge for me.” Before entering the world of real estate, Ron enjoyed a career as a financial advisor. “I was working in and around the Wall Street area and South Florida for almost twenty years,” he recalls. “I did a lot of financial planning for my clients, their retail businesses, stock market stuff, and many of them asked me to recommend local REALTORS®. My compliance department asked me if I’d be willing to get my license, become a sort of onestop-shop, and I figured, ‘Why not?’” After obtaining his licensure and finding tremendous success by serving his clients’ various needs, Ron closed his first sale at a staggering $2.5 million, and he couldn’t help but feel that the universe was trying to tell him something. “I’ve always wanted to get into this. I hung up my licenses on the wall street side and jumped into real estate full-time.” Since that momentous decision, Ron has cemented his business by servicing all of New Jersey (specializing in Central New Jersey) as team leader of The Ison Group NJ. He boasts a recent annual volume of $26.5 million spread across fifty-two transactions in 2022, fueled by a book of business that is over ninety percent repeat and referral clients. “My Russian background and fluency has helped me build within a specific area. A lot of my Top Agent Magazine

business comes from the New York market – Brooklyn and Staten Island are only about thirty miles away – and many of them come into the Central New Jersey area.” In addition to this particular niche, Ron bolsters his efforts by leveraging a thorough CRM provided by Keller Williams (Command) and capitalizing on a robust digital footprint. “I’ve got a huge social media platform. Facebook, Instagram, LinkedIn – so much of my work for the past six years has come through social media.” In addition to virtual marketing, Ron goes to great lengths to support and grow his greater community every chance he gets. “Just last year I partnered with a National Mortgage Company, The Home Team Mortgage, and we created a charity event at Patricias Restaurant, in Holmdel New Jersey, which raised money for ALS (Amyotrophic Lateral Sclerosis). My father passed away from Lou Gehrig’s Disease in 2010, and I wanted to support a local organization (Hackensack Meridian Hospital) that currently has one of two departments in New Jersey that helps ALS patients. We raised $26,000 in a month – it was an amazing event. We hope to create more events like this, each and every year.” Ron also connects with his colleagues by attending the Circle of Excellence awards ceremonies each year and playing tennis as often as his busy life permits!
