As the Co-Owner of Realty Executives Smoky Mountains in Seymour, Tennessee, Jacob Collins serves the greater Knoxville area with a highlevel of expertise and an understanding of what it means to come full circle in business. After years of serving in the military, he and his wife, who is the co-owner at their brokerage, moved from Jacksonville, Florida to her hometown in Tennessee. Jacob’s natural people skills set him up for quick success when he started working as a REALTOR® in 2018. Though the first company he chose turned out to not be the right fit, Jacob moved to another brokerage and then, after 4 years, he was presented with the opportunity to buy the building of the first company he worked for. “In real estate, you can become anything you want to be in 5 years,” says Jacob. “You can become the employee or you can become the boss. I chose the latter.”

Today, Jacob and his wife manage a team of nine people with six producers. They focus on short term rentals as well as residential and commercial properties. Their commitment to representing clients with a full-service package has resulted in countless 5-star reviews and referrals. To keep clients updated throughout the real estate process, Jacob is always on the phone, emailing, or showing properties in person. “There’s not a lot of down time,” he says, “but being able to serve others in my community makes it all worth it.”

Every month, Jacob and his team host community-wide events, from donating toys to their local hospital to partnering with the food ministry for a canned food drive. They’ve also donated to animal shelters and organized neighborhood cleanups. Jacob is currently looking forward to coaching a youth soccer team this year. When they need a break, Jacob and his wife like to escape to their house in Florida along with their young son and daughter for a little R&R. Jacob also enjoys taking his kids to fun attractions closer to home.

There is a constant influx of new business at Jacob’s company, primarily due to his robust social media marketing strategy. He also advertises in print and was recently chosen to be a part of the TV series, “Selling Knoxville.”

With sales numbers averaging $85 million per year, Jacob’s business continues to thrive. As he looks to the future, he plans to build onto his portfolio of short-term rentals and make more time for his family, all while continuing to mentor other agents and aiding clients with finding their perfect homes. “I enjoy watching people build their wealth through real estate,” he says. “When they invest smartly and are able to cash in later, I know I’ve done my job.”
