MELISSA SMITH Melissa Smith is a highly reputable real estate agent with a wealth of experience in the industry. Her passion for real estate started 20 years ago when she purchased her first home, sparking an interest that eventually led her to take classes and pursue a career in the field. Although her plans were delayed by the 2008 economic crash, Melissa never lost sight of her goal. After spending 12 years in the staffing industry, she returned to her real estate studies and obtained her license three and a half years ago. Since then, Melissa has worked for two different brokerages, gaining valuable experience and knowledge along the way. Her diverse background includes leasing and property management, as well as working for a title company, which has given her a comprehensive understanding of the entire real estate transaction process. Serving the greater Pittsburgh area, including Westmoreland, Allegheny, and Armstrong counties, she has extensive local knowledge and loves sharing it with her clients. Whether they are buying or selling a property, Melissa is committed to providing them with exceptional service and guidance every step of the way. “I keep in contact with everyone,” she explains. Throughout the transaction, she updates them on any news, even if it’s small. She gets to know them on a personal level, finding out their goals and lifestyle needs. Melissa advocates for them and ensures they’re getting the best deal and terms possible. When it comes to marketing her properties, she utilizes social media to spread the word far and wide. “I send out postcards, share photos online, and more,” she says. One recent buyer raved, “When we found the home that was exactly what we had in mind, Melissa quickly got us in to see the home, and then helped us through the process of purchasing the home. She was prompt in getting answers, coordinating the small concerns with the selling agent and having those resolved, and she was Top Agent Magazine

on the spot with everything necessary to work through the lender to make the purchase (helped us to find a good home inspector, to get a last-minute well test source when the lender required that, etc.). The bottom line is that she listened, was quick to respond, and could not have been more personal and helpful.” Melissa is actively involved in her smalltown community and participates in various local events such as parades and farmers’ markets. “I have supported our local teams with sponsorship specifically Lower Burrell Fastpitch,” she explains. She has also been involved in the PTA and was a board member of the local REALTORS® Association. During her free time, she loves to relax with her family. In the coming years, Melissa plans to double her business and assist more people with their real estate dreams. “The ability to get people information they want, and being able to help them, that’s what I love most about my job. Seeing someone come full circle and finally own a home, it’s great to be a part of that.”
