The Wanaka Autumn Art School is celebrating its 30th annual school this week at Mt Aspiring College. Established in 1990 to provide local people with the opportunity to attend classes with highly talented tutors from out of the area, the school has grown and developed since then to attract not only local participants, but many from all over the country. The school still prides itself on the high calibre of tutors from New Zealand and Australia teaching each year. We’re excited to have a great line-up for this year and some 200 people attending from as far afield as Australia and Tahiti. Many of them have been keen

supporters of the school for many years. Courses, some new, some old favourites, include writing, painting and drawing, nature journaling, photography, stencilling, mixed media, book arts, jewellery, mosaics, singing, stitching and our regular fly fishing. Many of the students will be exploring our stunning landscape as part of their classes during the week.
