The Open and Junior touch grand finals were all played on April 6 at Ward Oval with J&K Butchers, Phat Athletes, Raiders and Powerades finishing as the winners of their respective grades.

J&K Butchers had the upper hand at half time in their A Grade Opens grand final before their opposition, the DJW Dingoes, fought back in the second half however the Butchers held out to claim a narrow 9-8 victory.

DJW’s Damon Bruce was named Player of the Grand Final.

While the scoreboard may have showed that the Phat Athletes had an easy 13-2 win over Haymans Snowflakes in their Opens B Grade grand final game, the match up on the field was a good one and the Phat Athletes had to work hard for their win.

Haymans Snowflakes’ Sosie Barton was named Player of the Grand Final.

The Juniors 13-16 years grand final game between the Raiders and the Gladiators mirrored the Opens A Grade game with the Raiders eventually finishing with an 8-7 win.

Gladiators’ Kai McCosker was the Player of the Grand Final.

After the scores were 5-all at half time, Powerades went on to beat Oranges 9-6 in the Juniors 9-12 years grand final game.

Harpa Martin (Oranges) was the Player of the Grand Final.

The season’s Best & Fairest players were: Opens Sosie Barton, Kai Taylor and Will Munro; 13-16 years Rhylee Jeffery and Axel Fairfull; 9-12 years Indie Burke and Charlie Nicholson.
