We have all listened and worked hard to implement the changes you’ve asked for. Even the weather is cooperating. Next week we should experience a cool down just in time for our September Arrivals!

Greetings Las Quintas members! Next week our temperatures will drop into the 80’s and that’s how I know that it is almost time for you to come back to us! We are so excited about this season and all the events we have planned for you. October 31st is our annual Halloween Costume Party. This year’s event will be BYOB and snacks. Las Quintas will supply the music!
We also just wanted to give everyone a little notice for NYE. We are planning a Black & White (not necessarily black tie-although that is optional) event with DJ Dave. The menu is still in the planning stages, but we wanted you to know so that you can dress accordingly.
Recipe of the Month
SHERRY’S LEMON BARS DELUXE
Ingredients
• 2 cups sifted allpurpose flour
• ½ cup sifted confectioners’ sugar
• 1 cup butter (or margarine)
• 4 eggs
• 2 cups granulated sugar

• 1/3 cup freshly squeezed lemon juice
• ¼ cup all-purpose flour
• ½ tsp. baking powder
• Sifted confectioners’ sugar
Sift together the first 2 ingredients. Cut in butter until mixture clings together. Press into a 13x9x2 baking pan. Bake at 350 degrees until lightly browned, about 20-25 minutes.
