September Manager’s Message Dear Villa Del Sol Residents, As summer begins to wind down and we transition into the fall season, I would like to thank everyone for helping make Villa Del Sol a pleasant and welcoming community. With the possibility of late-season storms and changing weather conditions, please continue to secure or store outdoor items such as decorations, planters, chairs, and other loose objects that could be affected by strong winds. As we move into September, maintaining your property remains important. Please continue to stay on top of weeding, landscaping, and general exterior upkeep to help preserve the beauty and appearance of our community. We are also looking forward to welcoming back our seasonal residents as they return to their winter homes in the coming months. We have truly missed seeing so many familiar faces around the community and cannot wait to get our activities started again. Coffee Mornings, "5:00 Somewhere," and other community gatherings will be here before we know it, and we look forward to reconnecting with everyone and enjoying another wonderful season together. A few important reminders: Please observe the 15 MPH speed limit throughout the community. Do not leave pets outside unattended. Always clean up after your pets. Secure any loose outdoor items when severe weather is expected. Continue routine yard and home maintenance to keep our neighborhood looking its best. Community Reminders: Villa Del Sol Residents Highlands County Watering Reminder Once‑per‑week irrigation is currently required. The Southwest Florida Water Management District (SWFWMD) has placed Highlands County under Modified Phase II “Severe” Water Shortage Restrictions, which require all residents—including those on private wells—to follow one‑day‑per‑week lawn watering. These restrictions are in effect February 8th through October 1st, 2026. Trash Reminder: Please be responsible with your trash disposal! If you have large items that don’t fit in your trash bins, contact the office—we’re happy to help coordinate proper disposal. Trash is typically emptied every Monday and Thursday, so please plan accordingly Also remember: No Electronics in any trash bins No furniture or mattresses. No batteries or hazardous chemicals. No dumpster diving is allowed. Boxes: Please break down your boxes and put them in your trash bins. Exterior Maintenance Reminder Caring for the outside of your home is a year-round responsibility—365 days a year! Regular upkeep helps keep our community looking its best and ensures everyone enjoys a safe, welcoming environment. Please take a moment to review the community rules and regulations to stay informed about expectations and guidelines. Improvements: Please remember that any changes or additions to the outside of your home must be approved through the office before starting. We now require that a lot improvement form be filled out for any improvements or changes made to the exterior of your home. If the form is not filled out, then no improvements will be approved. For example, it has been mentioned several times in the newsletter that ALL exterior painting MUST be color-approved by the office, even if it is being painted the same color. If it has not been approved, then you will be required to repaint with an approved color. There will be no exceptions to this rule. Sales: All prospective buyers and renters need to complete the background application before any final sale or rental. The office must be notified of any sale or rental before they are final, regardless of whether they are past or current residents or renters.
