Growing with Purpose

Cone Admin Building Rapha Health Center

We’re proud to announce that TAPM has officially moved into our new administrative headquarters located at 2210 E. Cone Blvd., on the block recently renamed Bishop Otis Lockett Sr. Boulevard in honor of the late community leader and visionary behind the future Rapha Health Center.
Relocating our administrative offices to this space not only brings our leadership and support teams together under one roof, but also frees up valuable clinical space at our existing health centers. By moving non-clinical functions out of patient care sites, we are able to expand access and capacity at locations across the organization, ensuring more room for providers, services, and most importantly, the patients who rely on us every day.
While construction of Rapha Health Center has not yet begun, this site represents a powerful step toward that future. Once complete, the Rapha Health Center will provide primary care, behavioral health, and dental services in a neighborhood currently designated as a healthcare desert, an area with limited or no access to health services. This new health center will help meet the urgent need for equitable, high-quality care in East Greensboro.
This milestone is about more than bricks and mortar—it’s about bringing a vision of community-centered, comprehensive care to life. We are grateful to be part of this transformative work and committed to honoring Bishop Lockett’s legacy by continuing to build health equity and opportunity for all.

HOW TO HELP A CHILD STRUGGLING WITH ANXIETY
Due to testing season and the end-ofyear pressures, many kids and teens are feeling more anxious than usual. It’s important for parents, caregivers, and teachers to understand how to engage with them and recognize the difference between situational stress and longterm anxiety. Knowing how to respond can make a significant difference in how children manage these emotions both now and in the future.

In the NPR article "How To Help A Child Struggling With Anxiety," experts emphasize that avoidance, like letting kids skip stressful situations can unintentionally reinforce their fears. Instead, children need gentle encouragement to face fears in small steps. Parents should listen and validate their child's feelings, while also helping them build coping skills through exposure, confidence-building, and consistency. By fostering resilience and not over-accommodating, adults can help kids learn to navigate anxiety more effectively.

Respect
THE POWER OF RESPECT

As we enter the second quarter of the year, TAPM is proud to highlight our Q2 core value: Respect. Respect is the foundation of how we work, care, and grow together as a team and with our patients. It means valuing every voice, showing empathy in every interaction, and creating a space where trust can thrive.
At TAPM, respect shows up in the way we listen, the way we speak, and the way we care. When we lead with respect, we create a supportive environment where people feel safe, heard, and appreciated whether they’re a colleague or a patient walking through our doors.
This quarter, let’s be intentional about uplifting one another, acknowledging each person’s contributions, and treating every interaction with dignity. A culture of respect strengthens our mission and keeps our community at the heart of everything we do.
