of LGUs and stakeholders, finalized appropriate alternative work arrangement schedules for teachers to deliver quality basic education, classroom layout and structure, school traffic management and protective measures, hygiene practices and safety procedures which were all marked ‘Yes’ in the initial validation. The school also managed to develop a proper contingency and communication plans and conduct several orientations for learners, parents, teaching and non-teaching personnel, external stakeholders and with the LGU. “Kung may kailangan pa tayong ayusin, yun eh ‘yung orientation a week prior to the conduct of F2F classes and hinihintay nalang nating matapos ‘yung safe water supply sa ating mga bagong gawang handwashing station,” said the principal. On Focusing on Teaching and Learning Without a doubt, TNHS has secured sufficient supply of learning resources. It also has designed class programs that cater both learners of limited face-to-face classes’ arrangement and distance education while observing the maximum 6-hour classroom teaching hours for teachers. The school has complied also in presenting a comprehensive profile of learners who will participate in the implementation with schematized process on attendance monitoring and prohibitions on group or crowded activities. “For this part, we still need to work on providing an appropriate learning and development support plan in providing better quality basic education services particularly conducting LAC for remediation and training and mentoring teachers for facilitating blended learning approach,” Mendoza detailed. On Well-Being and Protection TNHS made sure that the three indicators under Well-Being and Reflection is met despite the numerous sub-indicators that require specific personal protective equipment, concrete COVID-19 case management plan and the inclusion of the most marginalized learners. Some of the indicators that still needed to work on include availability of ethanol in all surfaces at a recommended 70-90%, 1:1 bottle of hand-sanitizers or alcohol-based solutions to restrooms, and availability of respirator and other protective gears. Meanwhile, LGU Pagbilao promised to provide a closed van to serve as designated private screening area for school goers who show symptoms upon

Moreover, with the support of all class advisers, TNHS were able to provide a complete report on learners who have been identified as most vulnerable and disadvantaged in terms of access to learning. On Home-School Coordination To complete the results of the initial validation, the school was marked ‘Yes’ in all three indicators under Home-School Coordination where plan in coordination with BLGU and BHERT in ensuring that protocols will be highly observed was met. The school has developed a strategy in orienting parents on health protocols as well and has identified a designated waiting area with proper ventilation for parents and guardians visiting the school. Validation Team included Hanzel R. Ayaay, District DRRM Coordinator, Jerica B. Japor, District Brigada Eskwela Coordinator, Meybel Nantes, District Nurse and Paula Alejandro, School Head. Mendoza, Head Teachers and School DRRM Team were also present during the validation and were asked to prepare for the second conduct of validation that will officially give the eligibility of Talipan High in implementing limited face-to-face classes this current school year.
