“I have no words but a lot excitement lang talaga para sa midyear INSET dahil sa naka-line up nating mga topics na alam nating priority nating pangangailangan dito sa ating paaralan. Excited din tayo sa line-up ng ating speakers dahil alam nating sila na yung best of the best pagdating sa mga topics na ito at alam nating handa rin ang ating mga kaguruan sa panibagong kaalaman na matututuhan nila sa limang araw na pagsasanay”

Mendoza Secondary School Principal IVTo familiarize the school heads of different elementary and secondary schools in Pagbilai 1 and Pagbilao 2, both districts initiated a joint training on Technical Workshop on Managing, Documenting, and Assessing the School Governance Council (SGC).
The said training participated by school heads from two Pagbilao Districts was conducted last April 14, 2023 at Pagbilao East Elementary School (PEES) with Public Schools District Superintendents (PSDS) Catalino L. Porta of Pagbilao 1 and Desideria P. Zafranco, EdD of Pagbilao 2.
According to Dr. Luningning R. Mendoza, Principal IV of Talipan National High School (TNHS) and resource speaker of the event, it was a red-letter day for the school heads of both districts after having the chance to share important points about managing, documenting,
and assessing the School Governancne Council (SGC).
“Nakakatuwa na matagumpay nating naisagawa ito sa ating distrito, at nakasama pa rin natin ang mga taga-kabilang district na matutuhan at mafamiliarize ulit ang mga kailangang steps on how to manage itong SGC ng mga station natin”, said Dr. Mendoza in an interview.
The said training-workshop started around 1:00 PM on the said date at the host venue, Pagbilao East Elementary School with Mr. Rommel V. Roperez,

It was followed by an ispirational message given by Mr. Catalino L. Porta who was also glad by the interests and active participation of everyone in the training.
PSDS Desideria Zafranco also shared another inspirational message that sent some motivations to the participants.
Meanwhile, Dr, Luningning R. Medonza, on her talk kicked-off with enumerating the sessions objectives which are as follows:
1. Be familiar with the legal anchorage and framework of the SGC in connection with SBM practices for improved and school-community partnerships.
2. Review the functionality indicators of the SGC tool and;
3. Describe strategies in effectively managing and preparing documentations for record-keeping and validation.
She then continued the reiteration of the SGC Policy. Dr. Mendoza mentioned about its Rationale, Function, Structure, Implementation, and Goal.
Additonally, the speaker also discussed about the importance of shared governance which is basically the main rationale of the program. With this, she continued on sharing insights about the feedback mechanisms of the SGS, as an overall coordinating body and functionality indicators, then proceeds with its structure.
To complete her talk, Dr. Mendoza also discussed about how should the SGC work in schools which inlcudes subtopics about decision-making process and operations-budget, tenure, and removal from office. She ended by summarizing the key points of the topic. The training concluded with some photo opportunities and awarding of certificates to the participants and technical working committe who made the training a real success.
