and abstinence and alms giving. Meanwhile, De Rama expressed his support for the sacred activity and to its organizers by joining them together with the other teachers from different departments and Students Teachers from Maryhill College Lucena who also helped in the preparation of the activity design. Furthermore, the activity held became possible with the help of some groups and individuals who shared their blessings and supports in different ways just to provide the needs of the project. “Nagpapasalamat kami sa lahat ng mga tumulong at nagbigay ng kanilang suporta para sa proyektong ito. With their support we were able to provide all the things like foods and materials that we need for the whole-day activity. “Nagpapasalamat din kami sa ating Principal, Dr. Luningning R. Mendoza for allowing us to conduct this project and syempre to all the teachers and student teachers na sumama sa amin para umawit at manalangin sa Maykapal,” Japor said. Moreover, participants of the Pabasa 2022 said they also offered some prayers for the school particularly for the projects and programs it offer to the school, community, teachers, stakeholders and learners. ` The participants believed that with prayers lifted to God, all endeavours will be guided and blessed. Currently the school is now preparing for the implementation of limited face-to-face classes and prayers according to the Pabasa participants is very much needed for actions and other physical preparations to move forward. Pabasa is also known as a religious ritual chanting the words from the Pasyon, a narrative book that contains the life of Christ. It is a way for Catholics to repent to their sins and seek forgiveness from God during Lenten Season. It is form of meditation, expression of faith to God and activity made with the fellow community. Also, Pabasa helps Talipeños strengthen their faith as they experience struggles and achievements in life. Chanting the Passion of Christ is one of the treasured religious traditions that must be kept from the school and the society since these traditions are part of Filipino culture and national identity that define a part of who we are.
