orty-one year old Edgar M. Ramirez (EMR), a Secondary School Teacher III (SST-III) from Araling Panlipunan (A.P.) Department was hailed as 2021 Most Outstanding Teacher during the second year of Talipan National High School’s (TNHS) Gawad Maningning. With his track record and accomplishments, Ramirez edged out other finalists from different departments to claim the title which was last won by Sherwin I. Diala of the Senior High School (SHS) Department in the previous school year. “Lubos po akong nagpapasalamat unang-una sa Poong Maykapal sa biyaya at lakas na patuloy niyang ibinibigay sa akin. Meanwhile, the Awards Night also gave way to recognize other teachers who performed outstandingly in different aspects and were given plaques and certificates of recognitions. Twenty-three teachers and non-teaching personnel were honoured for their years of service in the institution led by Ma’am Lily Cuarez from Science Department who has served for 39 years, followed by Mr. Sherwin E. De Rama with 35 Years and Mrs. Perlita V. Del Mundo, Mrs. Mary Ann Perida and Mrs. Lourdes M. Mayuga, all with 34 years. “Ofcourse I am very grateful to Talipan National High School for giving me this award. My days in service might come to an end soon but one thing is for sure, I had 39 fruitful and colourful years with all the people, fellow teachers and students that were with me since the start of this life journey,” Cuarez said. School Principal Dr. Luningning R. Mendozaand and Head Teachers of the different departments were also awarded with plaques to commend their contribution as part of the Gawad Maningning. Likewise, teachers with the Cleanest, Greenest and Safest Classrooms also received recognitions after winning the search for the most prepared and equipped classrooms for the current quarter of the present school year. Grade 10 MVL (Merla V. Luces and Grade 8 BP (Maria Bernardita R. Porta) both claimed the title. Other Gawad Maningning Qualifiers who were also awarded as Gawad Inspirasyon at Pag-asa Outstanding Teachers and Nominees were Aivie A. Abracia, Nerissa D. Nandiego, Juan Carlo U. Villanueva, Marlen M. Vestil and Rita V. Villena. The finalists were also given plaques and certificates of recognitions for having been qualified in the final phase of judging. Education Program Supervisor (EPS) Dr. Juanito A. Merle, graced the event and shared an inspirational message to the teachers and awardees while PSDS Catalino L. Porta and DepEd Quezon Top Management, Gregorio T. Mueco, Gregorio A. Co, Jr., and Herbert D. Perez, OIC-ASDSs and Dr. Elias A. Alicaya, Jr., OIC-SDS expressed their support to the annual endeavour.
