W

ith the aim to recognize and reward the exemplary contributions of school’s human resources and personnel, Talipan National High School (TNHS) held the first-ever Gawad Maningning 2020 at the school covered court, December 18 final day and highlight of the 2020 School-based In-Service Training for Teachers (INSET). Dressed in yellow barongs, around thirty faculty members, head teachers, and non-teaching personnel received plaques and certificates of recognitions from different contests initiated by the Gawad Manining committee headed by Prinicpal Dr. Luningning R. Mendoza. According to her, the said program was anchored in the TNHS key thrust ‘Kadluan ng Inspirasyon at Pag-asa’ and took weeks to conclude the program with an awarding program that strictly followed the IATF protocol and health and safety measures. “Nasa huli at pinaka-highlight na araw tayo ngayong ng ating INSET at masaya ako na sa araw na ito, tayong lahat ay magniningning habang patuloy sa pagbibigay ng inspirasyon at pag-asa sa iba”, said Mendoza in her opening remarks. The said event includes recognition of the teachers who are 20 and above in service, search for cleanest and greenest classrooms and the search for Gawad Inspirasyon at Pag-asa Outstanding Teacher. For the service award, 22 teachers were recognized including Mendoza who has been in service for 24 years and Mrs. Lily Cuarez who has served for the longest time among all teachers, 38 years. FROM PAGE 1 Cuarez received her awards from DepEd Quezon’s top management Mr. Greg Co, Mr. Greg Mueco and Mr. Herbert Perez, Assistant Schools Division Superintendents who paid a visit to support the school’s event. Co, Mueco and Perez also delivered inspiration messages to the faculty teachers and employees and reminded that the awards given were only secondary and what matters is how we shape the next generations as their teachers. Meanwhile, pilot sections dominated the search for the cleanest and greenest classrooms after scoring well from the set criteria by the committee. Ms. Charise Daa’s Grade 7 Everlasting Classroom took the 4th Place, Ms. Nerissa Nanadiegos’s Grade 7 Sampaguita bagged the the 3rd Place, Mrs. Bernardita Porta’s Grade 8 Narra placed second and Mrs. Merla Luce’s Grade 10 Diamond was hailed as the cleanest and greenest classroom. The program continued with recognition of the event’s committee and nominees per grade level of the said search. Winners were Mrs. Aivie Rabe from the Grade 7 Curriculum, Mr. Ian Cris Jalbuena from the Grade 8 Curriculum, Mrs. Jerica Japor from the Grade 10 Curriculum, Ms. Carmela Reforma from Grade 11 Curriculum and Mr. Sherwin Diala from the Grade 12 Curriculum and was also hailed as the overall winner of the search. “Hindi man kami (SHS Department) palaging nananalo sa mga Quiz Bee at Tiktok Contest, this win is something na maipagmamalaki naman ng Senior High Department. Para poi to sa ating lahat at maging inspirasyon nawa sa iba at nakababata pa nating mga kapuwa guro”, said Diala. The event ended with a unity dance led by the MAPEH teachers and Mr. Karl Erickson Ebora expressing his gratitude to all the people behind and who supported the event.
