ith the opening of classes to begin in few more weeks, Talipan National High School (TNHS) started to receive donations from different individuals and groups, including the Local Government Unit (LGU) of Pagbilao for the annual Brigada Eskwela program. According to Jerica B. Japor, Brigada Eskwela School Coordinator of TNHS this year’s donation from the LGU includes construction and painting materials for the improvement of school facilities and various cleaning materials. “Yung natanggap natin from LGU ay halos mga materyales lahat. Meron tayong

natanggap na 20 pirasong marine plywood, 20 pcs na good lumbers, ibat-ibang klase ng pintura, brushes at trays and rollers. Nagbigay din sila ng cleaning materials like walis tambo at ilang gamit din para sa classrooms like LED bulb lights, toilet bowls, garbage cans at marami pang iba”, Japor detailed. She also added that the donations given by the LGU were amounting to P162,491.00 which was received last August 23 by Dr. Lunining R. Mendoza, Principal of Talipan National High School, Mr. Sherwin De Rama, Head Teacher in TLE and Japor. Public School District Supervisor of Pagbilao I Mr. Catalino Porta was also present during the turnover.

“Lubos ang aking pasasalamat sa LGU Pagbilao thru the leadership of beauty and brain Mayor, Hon. Shierre Ann Portes Palicpic sa ipinagkaloob na Brigada Eskwela materials dahil masu-sustain natin ang kalinisan at kagandahan ng Talipan NHS para sa mga batang Talipeños”, Mendoza said in an interview.

The school head also added that the yearly and continuous repair and improvement of the school facilities are still a must even this time of pandemic as TNHS eyes to sustain the beauty and conduciveness of the school for learning, parents visiting school for modules and outputs submission and retrieval and for teachers who are still reporting to school for online and modular distance learning work. We’ve already proven in the past years that Talipan is one of the best schools implementing this program and all we have to do this year and the next years to come is to hand-in-hand sustain it”, she added. Meanwhile, Japor and teachers of TNHS also expressed their gratitude to the LGU saying that these donations are such a big help for them especially to those teachers
