Art and dance programs
The How To’s of Drawing Camp Kidcreate Studio’s award-winning art classes allow kids to explore art in an environment full of giggles and grins. Kids create fridge-worthy masterpieces while learning art concepts and experimenting with different art materials. Curriculum is age-appropriate and designed to inspire. Classes provide a fun, self-esteem building atmosphere full of “I did it” moments. Making a mess is the best with Kidcreate Studio!
Holiday Ornament Making Party AGES 5 – 12 The Rec Center Gallery Room, 3700 Monterey Drive Join us for an ornament making party with all new ornaments! Four stations will be set up, each with a different ornament project. Ornaments will make great keepsakes or holiday gifts. This is a great class for siblings to attend together. Pack a nut-free snack and drink for your child.

Paint Like Picasso AGES 5 – 12 The Rec Center Gallery Room, 3700 Monterey Drive This is your child’s chance to paint on real canvas board, just like Picasso! We’ll learn all about the cubist style as we draw and paint our own self-portrait. Pack a nut-free snack and drink for your child.

We’ll encourage creativity and imagination, while experimenting with a variety of drawing materials and techniques. The kids will even receive their own sketchbook that they will get to keep and draw in throughout the camp! Pack a nut-free snack and drink for your child each day.

Dance programs
These dance programs are designed to be fun and introduce youth to the art of dance.
Creative Movement – Pre-ballet AGES 3 – 5 The Rec Center Banquet Room, 3700 Monterey Drive Participants will stretch, tumble and develop their gross motor skills through fun games, stories and a positive environment. This introductory class will teach students age-appropriate skills that will improve their body strength and control while encouraging safety, group interaction and peer encouragement. Ballet shoes, leotard and tights preferred, but not required.
Beginning Ballet AGES 6 – 8 The Rec Center Banquet Room, 3700 Monterey Drive Participants will learn ballet techniques and terminology in creative ways to express their individuality. Explore barre exercises, center floor work and choreography. Ballet shoes, leotard and tights preferred, but not required.

Just Jazz AGES 7 – 9 The Rec Center Banquet Room, 3700 Monterey Drive A fun, upbeat class that gets the body moving and start developing beginning jazz technique. This class will work on balance, musicality, incorporating jumps and turns, introduction to choreography and most importantly, creativity!
