ANNUAL SPRING ICE SHOW Join us for the 2022 St. Louis Park Skate School Spring Ice Show! This is your skater’s moment to shine showing what they’ve learned in skate school in a choreographed program set to music. Skaters will be divided into performance groups by level just as in a typical skate school class and must be enrolled in winter 2 session classes prior to participate. Each group will have six to 10 practices between Feb. 21 – March 18 leading up to the show, including dress rehearsal on Friday, March 19. Practices will be 30 minutes in length, and final practice schedule will be determined by participation numbers. Performances will be held at 7 p.m. Saturday, March 19 and 1 p.m. Sunday, March 20. Show activity descriptions

Beginner Snowplow, Advanced Snowplow, Basic 1 – 2/Pre-Alpha, Adult Group will have six to eight practices, perform in a group number and appear in show finale. Basic 1 – 2/Pre-Alpha, Snowplow and Adult groups typically practice Mondays between 6:15 – 7:15 p.m. and Saturdays between 9 – 10 a.m.

Basic 3-4/Alpha through Freestyle

Group will have six to 10 practices and will perform in a group number, an introduction number and show finale. Practice times may vary during the times listed in the table below.

Specialty numbers (Freestyle)

Skaters must have passed Freestyle 1 or higher and registered for the Freestyle show group. Skaters must be a St. Louis Park ISI home rink member and represent St. Louis Park at ISI competitions for the entire competitive year (no later than Oct. 1). Placements are determined by a point system based on the following criteria that is tracked over the year: • • • • •

Current test level skater is working on Number of classes registered for the season and class attendance Number of competitions and events participated in Prior year show participation P articipation in skate school offerings such as camp, exhibitions, developmental ice, etc.

Family number

Each show participant is invited to skate with one parent/relative or family friend age 15 years or over. This activity will have one extended practice to learn a choreographed program to music and attendance is mandatory. This is a great opportunity for friends and family to participate with their skater(s) and create memories you'll never forget. Parents/family participating with a skater will also need to register for this activity.

Graduating seniors

This group is only for skaters that are graduating high school in 2022. Skaters must also be registered for their respective level show group. There is no fee to participate in this number. Practices will be determined by final rehearsal schedule.
