FALL CLASSES

MINI GYM STARS

A great beginner gymnastic class teaching basic gymnastic skills, including movement exploration, balance, and coordination, at the same time teaching agility and improving motor skills Parents are allowed to stay for the first 10 minutes on the first day of class and are encouraged to attend the last class for a great recital.

Dance Divas

A great beginner class teaching basic skills, including a fun be dance class where students will learn Ballet warm-ups, Jazz/ Hip Hop dance and Tap steps. This program is geared towards groups of people with disabilities. Join us for seasonal arts and crafts. This program is designed to improve fine motor skills, boost creativity and social skills. Participants will be guided through seasonal art projects and specialty crafts Organization's staff must accompany clients in a 4 to 1 ratio This class is not designed for individuals without staff/attendant.

Simply Cooking

This introductory course for individuals with disabilities. Class includes lecture, observation, and hands on preparation Participants will receive instructional materials to take home. Menus will include breakfast, lunch, dinners, and desserts. Class is conducted in a teaching kitchen which utilizes gas burners

Participants must be able to function in a 1:4 staff to participant ratio independently or must provide an attendant for personal care.

Wheelchair Basketball Competitive

Looking to take Wheelchair basketball to the next level? Join our competition class, this is for individuals looking for more of a challenge and are looking to be apart of the competitive team No sports chair, no problem; we have extra sports chairs available on a first come first serve basis. Tournament opportunities are available for big gamers. Don't miss out! Participants must be able to function in a 1:10 staff to participant ratio, and independent with personal care needs

POWER SOCCER

Do you use a power wheelchair? Join one of the three classes with the San Jose teams in the electrifying and growing sport of power soccer! Whether you just want to learn the sport or aspire to compete in future tournaments, this is the program for you. Participants will learn power soccer techniques, develop skills, practice drills, and prepare for competition

Participants must be able to function in a 1:8 staff to participant ratio, independent with personal care needs or provide an attendant for personal care.

This class is designed for power wheelchair users

Wheelchair Pickleball

New to Bascom, we are now offering wheelchair pickleball. Wheelchair pickleball provides an opportunity for individuals with mobility impairments to enjoy the benefits of physical activity, social interaction, and competitive play Anyone is welcomed to try regardless if you know how to play or not. We have chairs you can use on a first come first basis.

Instructor led but limited instruction provided. This social is to show off your Line dance skills, mingle, and socialize!

No experience required.

STITCHES FROM THE HEART

SAN JOSE RECREATION PRESCHOOL PROGRAM

This program offers children between the ages of 3 to 5 years old an educational and recreational experience. This program supports children's imaginative, physical, cognitive, social, and emotional development. The San José Recreation Preschool Program prepares students for kindergarten success in a safe and welcoming environment Children must be able to use the restroom unassisted All children must have valid immunization records on file before the start of class Requirements for parent participation will vary by center

School Year : 4 days a week ( Monday - Thursday )

$4,437.00 annual cost or $493.00 monthly cost

A balanced nutritional meal is essential for our seniors to maintain their health and wellbeing. Funded by the County of Santa Clara for 90% of the cost, our *Senior Nutrition Program (SNP) lunches are prepared by Santa Clara County's dietitian approved recommendations and standards and fulfilled a vital daily need for our seniors.

This program runs from Monday to Friday. Service hours: 11:30 a.m. - 12:00 p.m.

Senior = 60 years and older
