ART START PRE-BALLET

Children explore and experiment with painting, drawing, textures, collages, and other basic art techniques As they stretch their imagination, little ones are also developing fine motor skills, color and shape recognition, listening, and focusing A variety of art materials will be used as they create their own original works of art! Baby Ballet encourages self-expression and fun! Children learn to respond to music, improve balance and agility, and express their feelings through dance A variety of music and props such as scarves and teddy bears keep your little one entertained Parents may stay for first 10 min of first class and are invited back at the end of program for a class demonstration.

FOOD EXPLORERS CLUB

Your kids will have a blast every week discovering how easy and fun it is to cook (and gobble up!) tasty, healthy, globallyinspired recipes! Our interactive cooking classes incorporate S T E A M and nutrition education Food Explorers Club Cooking offers young chefs the chance to explore exciting tastes (all seasonal and as local as possible!), nourish their bodies and minds, and master culinary skills such as knife skills, food, and kitchen safety (that they can put to use in family kitchens!). All our talented Chef Instructors are Food and Nutrition graduates passionate about teaching culinary nutrition They will bring all ingredients, equipment, and supplies to lead an engaging, fun, and interactive cooking class with your young chefs in training Our cooking classes are a BLAST for all ages! Learn to perform like your favorite stars in popular TV shows! Both song and dance instruction will be covered! Students will learn a great musical theater routine that they will perform for parents on the final day of class! The co-ed chess class is designed for students with no experience and provides a strong foundation in the rules & strategies needed to play the game of chess Students of the class can also participate in training games with other participants. Co-ed Chess class is designed for students who were in a previous Starters class or with some knowledge and teaches important opening concepts, recognition of tactical themes, calculation of material exchanges, and elementary endgame Students of the class can also participate in training games with other participants In addition to learning the fundamentals of chess, this class will promote the growth and development of skills in concentration, logic, decision making, planning, and self-discipline CAMP provides for a strong foundation in the rules & strategies needed to play the game of chess.

ANIMATION STUDIO MOVIE MAKING WORKSHOP

Let’s create original movies with stop-motion animation this Winter! This class teaches young athletes the essential skills to lead the crowd and support the home team! Each participant will learn cheers, proper hand/body movements, and jumping techniques. Our program is a great way to get a good, nutritious meal, meet people, access resources/information, and participate in different physical activities. A contribution of $5.00 per meal is suggested, but no eligible participant will be denied a meal because of inability to contribute. Guest meals are available for $15.00 for those under 60 years. Our dining site offers meals Monday-Friday with ethnic, vegan, and vegetarian options.
