MINECRAFT WITH LEGO® STEM WORKSHOP

Come explore your favorite Minecraft biomes structures and STEM concepts with LEGO®. Build houses and traps to defend against mobs Build tools, mines, caves to explore and help Steve defeat the ender dragon! Please note there will be no video games played in this camp.

Come build with Brick Tech and become the ultimate Pokémon master In this workshop, participants will build Pokémon inspired projects out of LEGO® while learning about STEM concepts Design your own Pokémon, train for battle in the LEGO® gym, and unlock the secrets of LEGO® Pokémon eggs Get ready to train for the ultimate LEGO® Pokémon battle

Come join the fun! Students will have fun learning Ballet positions, warm-ups, and tap steps. Correct technique and terms will be taught Students will learn a dance routine to perform for family and friends Parents are allowed to stay for the first 10 minutes on the first day of class for announcements. Parents are encouraged to attend the last class for a presentation

MINI GYM STARS

A great beginner gymnastic class teaching basic gymnastic skills, including movement exploration, balance, and coordination, and at the same time teaching agility and improving motor skills Parents are allowed to stay for the first 10 minutes on the first day of class and are encouraged to attend the last class for a great recital.**Wear a leotard, stretch pants, sweat pants, or shorts Bare feet during class is suggested Children should secure long hair back in a ponytail Parents are allowed to stay for the first 10 minutes on the first day of class for announcements Parents are encouraged to attend the last class for a presentation.

BADMINTON

Whether your child is a beginner or intermediate player, this program will improve their game and help them get more enjoyment from badminton Our badminton program focuses on skill refinement as well as practice and match play to develop consistent, well-rounded badminton players Equipment is limited, please bring your own racket if you have one

HOCKEYTOTS

This program is designed for children ages 3-5 years and is a safe and fun way for your child to learn the fundamentals of hockey The goals are to teach basic concepts and technique of field, street, and ice hockey Classes will emphasize passing, puck/ball handling, shooting, teamwork, and safety No checking is allowed and appropriate sized sticks will be used. Parent participation required children under the age of 3 5 years *

Learning basketball has never been more fun! Using our progressional curriculum, your young athlete will gain the technical skills and sport knowledge required for that next step into soccer. Playable on almost any surface, these soccer-themed motor skill classes are very easy for youngsters to get into This class develops kicking, balance, dribbling, foot-eye coordination and running control by playing fun games Some small-sided scrimmaging is played. SOCCERTOTS (GRIZZLIES)

Playable on almost any surface, these soccer-themed motor skill classes are very easy for youngsters to get into. This is the progression class for Bears More challenging skill development games are played as well as some introduction to soccer and team concepts. Small sided soccer games are played each week for a portion of the class *Age 4 must attend "Bears" first if available This class will be held at Mayfair Community Center.

Discover the fundamentals of basketball in a fun recreational environment. Preschool class include age appropriate activities and emphasize basketball skills such as shooting, dribbling, and passing Fun games will be played in each class

Martial Arts - Youth class combines the striking techniques of Karate, such as punches, kicks, and defensive maneuvers, with the high-intensity training of Kickboxing. WINTER CLASSES PARENT & ME

MUSIC & MOVEMENT

Perfect for children who are eager to explore but not yet toilet trained, this engaging class offers a joyful mix of music, movement, story time, sensory play, and simple arts & crafts. Led by experienced staff, the program encourages socialization and creativity in a supportive, play-based environment. A parent or caregiver is highly encouraged to participate alongside their child Please have children wear comfortable clothing and closed-toe shoes for safety Only registered children may attend. This parent-child class develops gross motor skills and coordination pertinent to the game of basketball Repetition permits children to build their confidence and esteem Activities include organized games that help children to develop skills and learn to follow directions

SENIOR SOCIAL DANCE

Roosevelt Senior Social Dance is a great place for all adults 50+ who enjoy ballroom dancing/music, meeting new people, and anyone looking to have a good time $1 admission for guest 50+.

PRESIDENT’S BREAK CAMP

At Camp San José, campers participate in an unforgettable day camp experience combining camp traditions with enrichment and educational activities. Campers play fun games, sports, create cool arts and crafts projects, and embark on weekly field trips.

In this safe and supportive environment, campers participate in active and engaged learning projects, skill building, youth voice and leadership, and learn healthy choices and behaviors.

Price includes a low leader to camper ratio of 1:10, field trips* , a Camp San José shirt, and much more!

*Families opting not to participate in field trips are responsible for finding alternative care for their child(ren) not attending the trip. The City will not provide a prorated refund for those that elect not to participate, nor will onsite care be available.
