PORT SERVICE IN ANTWERP AND ROTTERDAM In Antwerp and other adjacent ports, such as Rotterdam, Gent, Zeebrugge and Terneuzen, our representative visits Swedish ships and Swedish crewmembers onboard foreign flagged vessels. Some of the services we can offer are port information, newspaper distribution, sports, exchange of library and transportation to some of the tourist attractions in Belgium.
PORT SERVICE GÄVLE In Gävle, a representative from Gefle Seamen’s Mission visits ships in port, and there is an unattended drop-in center within the ISPS-area. You will find the premises on Depåvägen 37
PORT SERVICE HALLAND Our representative in Halland visits Swedish ships, mainly in the ports of Falkenberg and Varberg. If possible, a visit in the port of Halmstad can be arranged. Some of the services we can offer are newspapers, sports activities and library exchange.
SEAMEN’S SERVICE MALMÖ In Malmö, the seamen’s club is located in the sports facility Kockum Fritid. Here we can offer a broad variety of activities, such as gym, badminton and squash as well as a swimming pool. If you prefer outdoor activities, you can choose to go jogging, play football or take a walk to the beach at Ribersborg. If you just want to relax, you can choose to play pool or communicate with family and friends through our computers and free Wi-Fi. Together with CMP (Copenhagen – Malmo Port), we run a drop-in center at the cruise terminal during the summer. Our representative can also make visits to the port in Landskrona. SEAMEN’S CHURCH HELSINGBORG The Swedish Seamen’s Service does not have a representative in Helsingborg. Instead, representatives from the Seamen’s Church can offer transportation, library exchange and other services. They can also offer a religious service onboard or in the church. 37
