Since 2011, Motionscentralen (Exercise reporting system) has been the prime motor of the Swedish Seamen’s Service team competition Motionsligan (“Activity Challenge”). In Motioncentralen, the seafarers score individual points as well as points on behalf of their team – the ship. This initiative has motivated various crews and has led to more seamen exercising on their own. This helps us achieving our goal – healthier and safer ships.
Throughout the years, several different ships have participated and won. Transpaper won the very first Motionsligan in 2011. In 2012, Transpulp took the title. After this, Donsötank’s Evinco conquered the victories for four years in a row. In 2017 and 2018, two other tanker ships won – Baltico and Ramona. By looking at this result, one may think that Motionsligan is a competition for cargo ships and tanker crews. However, in 2019, Solsund won the competition as the first ferry ever.

petition Motionsligan, a total of 33 250 activities were carried out by seafarers on 84 ships. From 2020, Motionscentralen is replaced by our new platform SeaSportal and the team competition Sports League. In SeaSportal, the seafarers can report their training just as before. Only easier.
