FROM THE PRESIDENT Summer is here and the club is alive and thriving! Our annual member opinion survey was a success, providing the board and management staff with some great feedback – we look forward to utilizing towards building our Club of the future. Congratulations to the San Jose Team on creating one of the most memorable Lion’s Pride Tournaments yet. The course was playing well, and the team topped off the event by creating a Havana Night themed gala- one of the most festive nights on record. I am excited to see what they create next year! After an extremely successful event, our Golf Course Maintenance team has continued to remain busy. We received our annual visit from USGA Agronomist (John Foy) and will provide his recommendations and findings as soon as they are made available to us. Reminder- the golf course will be closed, May 31st through June 10th for aerification as we enter growing season. Summer means it’s pool season and our Pool Cats Swim Team are off to a great start with a victory over Ponte Vedra Inn & Club. I invite you to come out and enjoy the pool this summer as we’ve enhanced our food & beverage experience and enjoy the new furniture. Our temporary Pool Bar will serve as a benchmark, and we will monitor operations, usage, and member feedback to determine

our course of action with our next phase in renovations. As we have communicated through the last few newsletters, the interest in San Jose has never been higher. Applications for membership continue to pour in at a pace that is exceeding attrition. Considering this level of interest, the Board has been discussing changes to our membership application process, and the individual membership category caps and overall membership cap. With Club operations and member usage up, the team is doing an outstanding job making San Jose the place to be. In addition, and in conjunction with the Board’s goal to continue to provide transparency, we will be adding a new section on the member website, Club Resources. This will be dedicated to providing various documents to allow for our membership demographic to review: Club Bylaws, Rules and Regulations, Financial Reporting, and Strategic plans. As always, I welcome any feedback you may have about the Club and how we can collectively make it better. We look forward to seeing you all at the Club!
