It's a subtle but damaging form of discrimination, where you cannot take the opportunities you see in front of you – despite your suitability and your best efforts. The Shattering Glass Ceilings Award will be given to a teen with a physical, intellectual, or developmental disability that has taken the glass ceilings placed on those with disabilities and used it to insight change within their community.
