The awards for the portfolio categories are NOT intended to represent first, second, and third place. They are levels of accomplishment with reference to a standard and are intended to more fairly acknowledge the very significant accomplishments of all submitting teens.
• All participants in any category will receive a certificate of participation.
• Three levels of awards are based on average of judges’ scores: Distinguished, Excellence, and Merit.
• No limit to the number of awards that may be given at any level except Best in Class.
• One Best in Class award is presented to a single portfolio per category.
• The portfolio with the highest number of points receives the Best-in Class award.
• Each judge will award a single point to the entry he/she feels represents best entry in each category/age division.
