Shelton Art Walk Returns June 28 for Another Celebration of Art, Community, & Creativity
Downtown Shelton will once again transform into a hub of artistic expression and community connection as the Shelton Art Walk returns on Saturday, June 28, 2025. From 11:00a to 8:00p, visitors are invited to enjoy a full day of creativity, culture, and local talent—all in the heart of historic downtown.
Now in its second year, the Shelton Art Walk is more than a celebration of visual art. It’s a dynamic, community-driven experience featuring artist showcases, live performances, local vendors, interactive demonstrations, and activities for all ages. Presented by the Shelton Creative District, Downtown Shelton Association, and the City of Shelton, the event is free and open to the public.
The Art Walk began last year as a grassroots collaboration between local artists, small business owners, and community leaders who envisioned a creative event that would bring people together and reflect the vibrancy of Shelton’s growing cultural scene.
The inaugural event was a resounding success. Attendees shared heartfelt responses like, “I feel seen here,” and, “It’s so lovely seeing so many different people coming together for art.” That spirit of connection and discovery returns this year with even more to explore.
Throughout the day, 20 downtown businesses will host featured artists working in a range of media.
A special Artist Reception will take place from 3:00p to 6:00p, giving attendees the opportunity to meet the artists and hear more about their work. Just outside, along Cota Street, over 40 local vendors will offer handmade goods, artwork, and unique finds in the Artist & Maker Market.
Live entertainment will be a key part of the event, beginning with an opening land acknowledgment at 11:00a. Performances will run throughout the day on multiple stages, including music by singer-songwriters, full bands, and a barbershop quartet.
Magician Jeff Evans will perform “Reading Magic” at 12:00p, followed by a live interactive storytelling experience hosted by Mason County Timberland Libraries and Impulsive Walrus.
Evening entertainment includes karaoke at Town Pub and a live atmospheric sound performance at Marmo.
New this year is a Beer Garden in the Civic Center lot, open from 4:00p to 8:00p—an ideal spot to unwind and enjoy performances.
In addition, local artist Molly Wheat Baker will be painting a mural live throughout the day at Cota Street Antiques, offering attendees the chance to witness creativity in action.
The Shelton Art Walk is designed to bring together what makes our city special—creativity, connection, and community pride. Whether you're an artist, a neighbor, or just exploring for the day, you’re invited to experience something inspiring and uniquely Shelton.
