A Word From The CEO
As we move into the heart of summer, there’s an energy that’s hard to miss. Sidewalks are buzzing, boats are out, and events are filling calendars across Mason County. At the Chamber, we’re embracing the season and leaning into connections. Whether we’re promoting tourism through our visitor centers, highlighting local businesses, or hosting networking events, we support the people and places that make us unique.
This summer brings plenty of chances to get involved. The Expo & Bite of Mason County, festivals, concerts, and neighborhood barbecues don’t just entertain. They drive traffic to local storefronts, create shared experiences, and build lasting partnerships. I encourage you to take part not just as a guest, but as a supporter. Every visit and every dollar spent locally matters.
The Chamber’s role as a Champion for community is on display now with the annual flower basket fundraiser. These blooms brighten our streets and reflect the care and pride we share. Funded entirely by community donations, we rely on your continued support to keep them thriving.
We’ve also been engaging regionally. I joined Chamber leaders from across the country at the Western Association of Chamber Executives quarterly board meeting to share ideas and explore ways to strengthen our communities. I also attended the Women’s INSPIRE Conference with Mason County stakeholders, returning with fresh insights and new connections.
Looking ahead, the Chamber continues to support civic engagement. The August primary includes key local races and issues, including renewal of the City’s Transportation Benefit District. This measure impacts funding for roads, safety, and access. We encourage all eligible voters to learn more and make their voices heard. Read more on page 14.
In times of uncertainty, it’s even more important that we come together. Our community is at its best when we support one another, stay engaged, and look for solutions. The Chamber remains committed to being a steady partner through change, helping businesses adapt, grow, and continue to serve as the backbone of our local economy.
Thank you for continuing to show up, speak up, and invest in this community. I’m proud of our work at the Chamber and look forward to what’s next!
