Our new itinerary has something for everyone including a Castle, tram and train rides through a wintery landscape, apple strudel making, cheese, schnapps, a sleigh ride and a visit to Austria’s highest waterfall. Day 1 An early start, with taxi pick-up from your home to the coach to join your drivers and fellow passengers. Enjoy tea or coffee and biscuits on the journey to Folkestone. Eurotunnel to France then drive to our overnight hotel in the Saarbrucken/Saarlouis area with dinner and breakfast included. Day 4 We begin today with a visit to Alpbach which, with its authentic wooden houses, has been voted “The Most Beautiful Village in Austria”. In Roadmark Travel’s 30th year we would like to remember and pay a special tribute to Les Anderson, one of the founders of the company, who passed away in 2018. Join Mark as we drive to London’s Docklands, with a musical tribute to Les and a quiz during the journey. On arrival we will board the Tereza-Joanne, a former barge now moored permanently in the George V Dock. The bar will be open and there will be time to purchase a drink before a basked meal of Chicken and Chips or Fish Goujons and Chips is served (vegetarian option also available). After lunch enjoy an afternoon of sing-alongs, comedy and dancing from Cockney entertainer Gordon Bennett – a man described as a cross between Chas ‘n’ Dave and Max Bygraves with a touch of Max Miller. We think that Les would have loved this excursion and hope that many of you who knew him will join us for this special tribute.
