How to Get Customers to Return to Your Store

Here are a few Ultra-simple ways to stand out to your Customers and keep them coming back to you! Attend Community Events

Secure a booth at a local festival or event by researching events calendars in your area online. Offer a raffle at your table for a free phone or other prizes to get to know your Customers’ community.

Host a Customer Appreciation Day

Appreciation goes far. Post up flyers or notify Customers via email, social media or text to let them know about your Customer Appreciation Day. Hire a face painter to appeal to your family-friendly Customers or find an amature DJ to get even more foot traffic. Ultra Tip: Include interactive activities that draw crowds such as spin the wheel for free giveaways, balloon pop for prizes, free food, etc.

Bend the Rules for a Customer

If a Customer comes in right before closing and really needs help, what are you going to do? Though you might not want to initially, making an exception and staying open a little longer is likely the right thing to do to help them out and build a new relationship.

Start a Newsletter

Sharing helpful resources like local information and community news in an email newsletter, social media channel or bulletin board is a great way to help Customers associate a strong sense of community with your store.

Send a Handwritten Note

In the days of social media and email, the art of letter writing is fast disappearing. This is still an easy and relatively inexpensive way to stay top-of-mind with your Customers.

Follow Up with a Call or Email

Build your Customer contact list. That way you can follow up after they’ve made a purchase to make sure they’re satisfied with their service. If they’re taken care of, they’ll remember the extra mile you went to keep them satisfied and will think of you next time they need service help. Ultra Tip: Host a lottery for a new phone or bundle and ask Customers to share contact information in order to win.
