A music-infused romance that follows the unlikely love story between a singer and a criminal
Gia Summers is ready to start again with a promising new job, a new lakeside neighborhood, and a brand new home! After moving in, Gia soon forms an unexpected friendship with her next door neighbor, firefighter and single dad Jim Dunlap, whose love for barbecuing is equalled only by Gia’s passion for cooking.

At work, Gia’s new boss seems more interested in approving plans that benefit his upcoming run for town mayor than anything that could genuinely help the community – and there are definitely some things that the place needs, like a new playground for the local kids, and a gym for the fire station. Luckily for this small town however, they’ve got Gia and Jim. Together, these two will stop at nothing to raise the funds these projects so desperately need – and in the process, just maybe cook up a little romance of their own!

Toni was once an up-and-coming musical theatre star, but after the sudden and unexpected death of her husband Ben, she gave up on her dream.
