STRIKE CARRIER

The crew of Britain’s biggest warship face trials and challenges as they set sail across the Atlantic

An epic story, intimately told through a rich cast of characters Directed by award-winning filmmaker Chris Terrill

In Season Two of ‘Strike Carrier’, HMS Queen Elizabeth sets off on her maiden voyage across the Atlantic for a challenging four-month deployment. She must now prove herself not only as a front line battle platform but also a diplomatic platform for high profile visitors. The ship’s company has doubled from 700 to 1,400 and now includes an entire company of Royal Marines Commandos, a full Royal Marines Band and a vastly expanded aviation wing. Ahead is a series of exciting firsts for the new warship: the first replenishment at sea, a potentially dangerous mid-ocean refueling from a vast tanker, the first dramatic landing of an F35B Lightning Stealth Fighter on her untested flight deck, and the first dropping of an anchor in a foreign port (New York). Along the way she has to deal with floods, fires, stowaways, savage hurricanes and a Russian warship that comes a little too close for comfort. FACTUAL / SCIENCE & TECHNOLOGY
