Now, Matt is undertaking one of the toughest transformations yet: becoming a woman. In summer 2015, Matt was outed as transgender. The public reaction was swift and painful, her parents disowned her, her powerlifting sponsorships were revoked, and she was banned from competition. Now called Janae, she is trying to find her place in society. This film follows her search for acceptance, as she struggles to lose her muscle and live her life as a smaller-framed woman.
