NORWALK

Welcome to the City of Norwalk’s Spring Recreation Schedule of Activities! As Director of the Recreation and Park Services Department, I am thrilled to share an exciting season filled with new opportunities and events to unite our community. This spring, we’re proud to highlight the Syserco ballfield lighting renovation completed at Holifield Park, which is currently taking place at Zimmerman Park. These upgrades will improve safety, visibility, and the playing experience for our youth and adult leagues. Speaking of which, our youth baseball and softball leagues are gearing up for their opening seasons, and we encourage you to come out and support our athletes on the field.
Spring brings everyone outdoors, especially at our upcoming City-wide special events! On April 19, make sure to bring the family out for the annual Egg-Stravagant Egg Hunt! This fun-filled event offers egg hunting, games, music and dance performances, and arts’ n’ crafts—perfect for all ages. We’re also excited to announce that registration is now open for the Norwalk 5K Run—make sure to sign up early, as spots are filling up quickly!
Lastly, mark your calendars for the first-ever Norwalk Hiring Fair on March 29! We are looking for energetic individuals with a passion for community service! Seasonal, part-time positions are available for individuals ages 16 and up.
Additionally, we’re conducting a city-wide quality assessment survey titled “Park Your Thoughts, Help Us Shape the Future of the Fun.” We encourage everyone to participate and share their thoughts to help us improve City parks, facilities, and services.
We hope this catalog inspires you to join us this spring, whether as an athlete, job seeker, or family looking for fun. We look forward to seeing you around Norwalk!
Sincerely,
Allan Perdomo Director, Recreation and Park Services
