Fall Favorite!

From the PESH Key Club officer team to our members, THANK YOU! Thank you for coming out, thank you for participating, and thank you for helping your community thrive. These past few months, we appreciate all 100 and more members for coming out. What was your favorite service activity so far this year? If you would like to share your experience, check out our contact pages and send in an article describing your spooky scene! My favorite service activity this year has been Paloween.

Paloween was one of the most rewarding and fun experiences for us all, getting to see all the little kids in their costumes being able to celebrate in a fun and safe way was a lot of fun for us and for them. We set up our booth with an entertaining cornhole game and lined them up next to each other. We set up candy and gave out one piece for every kid that participated, whether they made it in or not! Seeing everyone’s happy, smiling faces was very refreshing to all the officers and everyone who volunteered. It was a great way to promote our club and keep it engaging and entertaining!

Member of the Month

This is my third year being a part of Key Club, and I have had many positive experiences in my time here. Ever since I joined, all of the officers have been very accepting and welcoming to new members of the club. There are also so many fun and beneficial service opportunities offered in Key Club, so there were never any worries about being able to complete my service hours. All of the Key Club service opportunities I’ve participated in have been not only for great causes but also fun experiences in general! Even while getting to help other people, I can have a lot of fun with my friends, and that is one of my favorite parts of Key Club. Over the past two years, participating in Key Club has allowed me to realize that although service might seem daunting at first, it is a very rewarding and fun experience overall. It does require a lot of hard work as well as time commitments, but it’s really worth it in the end. By being a part of Key Club, I have also developed my collaboration skills.

I’ve had so much fun working with others for service opportunities, and I can’t wait to keep doing so for the rest of this year as well as the year after. To me, Key Club is an outlet for me to not only serve the community, but also to learn to work with others and become closer to my community in general. Learning to work with others during service opportunities has allowed me to meet many new people and also learn to work better in groups. Being able to work well with others has helped me learn so much about the community and about helping others as well.

Participating in service projects in Key Club over the years has made me feel like a part of the community more than ever before, and I look forward to seeing where Key Club takes me in the future!
