Pushing Boundaries October 10 – November 16 Exhibition Opening: Thursday, October 9 This biennial group exhibition showcased and celebrated contemporary Indigenous artists. Indigenous cultures across North America use blankets in symbolic ways throughout their communities. These artists referenced the narratives rooted in their own nations and relate them back to pattern, textile, shape, form, or material. The blanket metaphor represents a way that we can use the deep connections of spirit while pushing a contemporary perspective on Indigenous ways of knowing.
