DIMAPUR: Councillors of provincial team of Franciscan sisters, Saint Mary of the Angels (FSMA) visited Kidima, vegetable village on February 17 and 18, as part of North East India tour which began from February 13 to 25. According to FSMA, councillors Sr (Dr) Manju from Madhya Pradesh and Sr Sheela from Rajasthan said that FSMA congregation was focusing on inclusive school for the differently abled persons as well as to train sisters in order to impart them about inclusive education apart from religious profession. It may be noted that eight mission centres in the Northeast, three in Assam, one in Meghalaya and four in Nagaland (Atoizu, Dimapur, Khuzama and Kidima) have also been established.

It may be mentioned that RPL is a platform to provide recognition to the informal learning or learning through work to get equal acceptance as the formal levels of education. The programme aims to impart skills training for existing workers to align the competencies of the unregulated workforce to the NSQF under PMKVY 2.0 RPL scheme. DIMAPUR: Krishi Vigyan Kendra (KVK) Peren held XVth scientific advisory committee (SAC) meeting on February 17 at KVK conference hall, Porba with deputy commissioner (DC) Phek, Sachin Jaiswal, as special guest. A press release by KVK Peren stated that the DC Sachin Jaiswal emphasized on coordination of KVK with line departments of agriculture towards achieving a common goal to uplift the agrarian community. out the remote villages to percolate the farmer friendly technologies. He advocated the farmers not to be subsidy oriented, rather to optimize the available resources. DLSAs legal awareness on ‘Nagaland Victim Compensation Scheme 2012’

DIMAPUR: District Legal Services Authorities (DLSAs) under the aegis of the Nagaland State Legal Services Authority (NSLSA) has been conducting awareness programme on “Nagaland Victim Compensation Scheme, 2012” with youth/women organization at different areas. A press release from NSLSA public relations assistant stated that, the scheme has been introduced for the purpose of compensation to the victims or dependents who have suffered loss or injury as a result of crime and who require rehabilitation. Kohima DLSA on February 15 conducted the programme at Sumi Aphuyami Baptist Church, Kohima with youths. District retainer lawyer Sunjib Rana said that the scheme was not to compensate victims for crime nor can compensate the loss victims have suffered, however, it aims K Y M C
to provide hope and security to the victims of such unfortunate incident. The scheme mainly focuses on women/children victims of crimes including rape, murder, domestic violence, trafficking, it mentioned. He further said that in some instances even men folks are victims of such crimes. Rana also pointed out that most of such crimes are not reported or kept hidden due of fear or social stigma and due to which victims are not delivered justice.
