Il percorso di visita, che scende per un comodo tracciato di circa un chilometro, mostra i monumenti principali di una tipica città dell’età imperiale e permette di approfondire lo studio della civiltà romana. This Ancient Roman Archaeological site, the “Park of Urbs Salvia” is the most important and most spectacular in the whole of Marche. The visit route goes down a comfortable path of about one kilometre long. Along this, the visitor is able admire the main monuments of a Imperial city. The museum enables visitors to understand more about Ancient Rome and the Roman Empire.

The theatre has an original architectural structure. It was named after the particular shape of its plans: a circular segment which corresponds with the origins of this place. Originally, in times of Ancient Rome the area was a sphaeristerium for balls games, much later in time, the Pallone col bracciale.

L’edificio espone numerose opere d’arte, dipinti, sculture ed oggetti sia strettamente connessi a Raffaello sia di documentazione della ricca storia urbinate in campo artistico, civile e religioso. The great Maestro Raffaello Sanzio was born on the 28th March, 1483 in this house. His father, Giovanni Santi was a great artist at the time. Raffaello had taken after his father and it was in this house, his father’s workshop, where he also received his first art lessons. The exhibit includes not only numerous art works, including paintings, sculptures and objects closely connected to Raffaello, but also, many other elements of historical, cultural, civic and religious importance for Urbino itself.

Merita di essere citato l’unico gruppo di bronzo dorato giunto dall’età romana ai nostri giorni, ovvero i Bronzi Dorati. There are four sections: archeology, numismatic, history-art and contemporary art. The valuable pieces correspond to the town territory and its outskirts. There are some works which deserves special mention: the Bronzi Dorati (the Golden Bronzes) a set of Ancient Roman golden bronze pieces.
