elcome to the Winter edition of Marketplace Messages, I hope that you are all keeping warm and well during the colder months!

The last few months have been busy as usual for the centre management team with many exciting announcements made.

It was great to see so many faces at the Stage 4 Development Retailer presentation evening on Tuesday the 11th June where we received a detailed presentation from our Development team on what the proposed plans are for the potential new expansion of the centre!

In June, we also announced our new Laneway precinct with development works commencing in July 2019! These works will see the conversion of the redundant Gungahlin Place loading dock into a new centre entry and will increase the Centre’s exposure to people using the new bus interchange and light rail. The works to improve this entry will include the creation of a single storey restaurant tenancy of approximately 150m2 with a seating area

of approximately 55m2 and a single storey kiosk tenancy of approximately 22m2 with a seating area of approximately 4m2. There will be alterations to the female bathroom to allow the new entry to be built (all other amenities will remain).

On the 17th June we also rolled out an Earlybird parking function to support customers using the improved public transport systems in Gungahlin. Access to this facility is via application and enquiries can be sent to reception@ marketplacegungahlin.com.au If you have any questions on any of the above please always feel free to reach out to myself or our highly capable Centre Management team who are always here to assist.

It didn’t seem that long ago we were celebrating the Easter School Holidays in Centre and now we are already on the countdown to July School Holidays—crazy!

You should have received July School Holiday posters for you to display in store (if you didn’t get these or if you would like more please give me a buzz). Please ensure you display these, so your customers are aware of all the FREE fun taking place! All the details are provided below plus a link to download advertising images to help you get the word out to your networks.

JULY SCHOOL HOLIDAY FUN!

A BANG WITH FREE ACTIVITIES HAPPENING EVERY SINGLE DAY AT MARKETPLACE!

MINIONS DANCE PARTY Saturday 6 & Sunday 7 July 10am – 10.30am 11am – 11.30am 12pm– 12.30pm

Meet and greet the lovable Gru, Dave and Mel as they will all be at Marketplace for live active meet and greet sessions and a dance party!

FREE SENSORY PLAY Monday 8 – Friday 12 July 10.30am – 1pm, outside Big W Sensory play activities happening every day, including face painting, scratch art with coloured sand and a magic sand table with different sand activities each day.

CHARACTER MEET & GREETS Saturday 13 & Sunday 14 July 11am – 1pm

Come say hello and grab a photo with your favourite characters, as princesses, snowmen, ice queens and tigers roam the centre.

FREE CRAFT STATION Monday 15 – Friday 19 July 10.30am – 1pm, outside Big W Kids can play with building straws, play dough, collage, sticking and gluing, the sand table and crayon rubbing every day!

CHARACTER MEET & GREETS Saturday 20 & Sunday 21 July 11am – 1pm Cowboys, dinosaurs and superheroes will be roaming the centre.

CAR PARK TICKET BRANDING

We’re excited to launch our brandnew car park ticket branding initiative commencing in August.

Congratulations to our retailers who have already jumped on board to participate in the share of one million tickets at all our entry gates over a period of six months. Keep an eye out for the explosion of colour about to hit our parking tickets.

LETTERBOXES

We continue to ask all retailers to clear their mail boxes at least once a week in order to reduce the number of letters and direct mail accumulating. Stage 1 letterboxes are located on the outside of the building near the loading dock entry off Ernest Cavanagh Street. The Stage 2 mailboxes can be found close to the loading dock area off Efkarpidis Street.

All tenants are responsible for looking after their own mail box. In the event you have misplaced your mail box key, please contact Centre Management. We appreciate your co-operation.

CUTS MARKETPLACE GUNGAHLIN STAFF DISCOUNT Any staff member working at any retailer located within Marketplace Gungahlin from Monday to Friday can pop in to Just Cuts and be allocated a time slot for their Style Cut, (normally bookings are not permitted) PLUS RECEIVE $5 OFF!
