Just a note to say what a great read ‘Life in Orpington’ is. I must confess to not having seen all previous copies but have now subscribed to the ‘e’ version to ensure I don’t miss any future editions. Even the advertisements are interesting and must have been created by talented persons. Congratulations to all who contribute to this truly refreshing publication. Game on!
I’m writing to ask residents to kindly donate any puzzles, games or jigsaws that they no longer use or want. We’re starting a new project to support people with social isolation – something that we hope to grow and develop in the coming months. The idea is that we take these games to people who are socially isolated and interact with them. Loneliness can have a huge psychological impact and it can also be detrimental to our long-term physical health, so any help with supplies will be gratefully received. I started my own company selling washable incontinence and period knickers made from my own selling. They’re selling well. Bp3underwear On top of the basics, all our washing and cleaning products have gone green - not a hard change to make ;) Tim Buick I use an eco washing ball – no detergent or washing powder needed! Sarah Welsh Most of the supermarkets sell string bags for fruit & veg so we bought these. I’ve also stopped using paper towels to clean my kitchen work surface and use a micro fibre cloth instead.
