Bloody revenge
I woke up, I was hanging upside down, like a ham. My whole body ached, I couldn´t tell where the pain was coming from.
When I could relax, I realized that I only had one arm. I didn´t have an ear either. I started praying. I don´t believe in miracles, but you have to invent them to continue existing. This wasn´t the right moment to boast of brave atheism. I fainted again.
I managed to regain consciousness when I heard the loud bang of the metal door opening. I heard footsteps behind me. A man began to whisper unintelligible words, his voice sounded familiar.
As the monster stepped in front of me, I could see that he was also missing an arm and an ear. I bowed my head to look at his face and then I understood everything.
Five long years had passed, and there wasn´t a single day that went by that I didn´t remember. Tuesday 23rd February, Portsmouth Road. I had slept very little that night, I was on my way to work when I fell asleep while driving. I hit a man. From what I could read in the press, he suffered the amputation of an arm and an ear. I think I am facing the consequences of that accident, and this has just only began…
The scary granny
Hugo Díaz

That was the most terrifying day of my life. It was the morning of the 1st of October and I was creating my Halloween costume with my beast friend, Carol. My house was already decorated with scary ornaments. We had lunch and watched a scary movie. It was getting dark and we were home alone. My parents would be late, since they were stuck in a traffic jam. Carol and I decided to go trick or treating around the neighborhood. After knocking at all doors we realized that there was one missing. The other children warned us that nobody had ever opened that door before. Even so, I thought that it was worth trying and I walked straight to the door and rang the bell. Carol stayed far away because she was terrified. Nobody opened the door but I kept on ringing that bell: I had the feeling that there was someone there.
After a while I decided to leave but, as I was turning my back, I heard the key turning. Surprisingly, a granny opened the door; she looked kind and sweet. Astonished, I said: trick or treat! . She answered: Oh! I have got some candy in my kitchen… come in! . Without expecting what was about to happen, I went in gratefully. She gave me lots of sweets, but suddenly her face changed. She looked horrid! She hurried me to the door and kicked me out of the house. I was terrified and tremendously upset, so it took me a few seconds to realize that nobody was there, the Street was empty; there was only me all alone in the Halloween night.
Only the sound of my steps could be heard, I was shocked but I had no choice: I ran back to the granny s house. She was waiting for me but this time with a knife in her hands. With a threatening look and a horrible voice she said: This time I let you go but don t you dare to come back next Halloween! .
